Figured i was overdue for a scene app, so let me know how this works out for you... :)

Download: http://www.multiupload.com/W908XCN3L5 MD5: 5B74F8094A8D4658519A633CFBED1E18

This makes the task of using robohobo's dosbox port much easier. tested on win7 x64 & xp x32

I made use of resources and compacted everything into one exe (psn_package_npdrm, dll's, etc) so that's why it's a big file

As always, here's the source (http://www.multiupload.com/SE1LVBUEQP) (vb2010)

For more information please check out d0zs Crunching Release Thread (http://www.ps3crunch.net/forum/threads/1145-DOStoPS3)! -- Our many Crunching thanks! :)

I really like the Modify DOSBOX option. That way, everyone can change the cycle for more FPS!

Great work - really!

remember, more cycles does not necessarily mean more fps... you need to find the sweet spot :D

Now THIS is a fantastic release, thank you d0zs! This should make it a lot easier to create our own titles, since we can't share games that don't have a shareware/demo release.

@keropi

In my testing, the sweetspot seems to be around 6000 cycles. Any lower or higher and the framerate adversely suffers. It's a shame robo_hobo seems to have abandoned this, despite my near-begging pleas for him to continue. I would love to be able to play One Must Fall or DreamWeb on my PS3... but sadly the current incarnation of DOSBox is SEVERELY lacking and quite unable to get either game playing with what I would consider a comfortable framerate.

@gamba

You could always adjust cycles manually anyhow. Simply edit the .conf files from inside the game folder once one of the DOS conversions was installed =)

If I were to update the app, what would be some good default values? 6000 cycles? anything else?

I find 5000 works well.

Good enough for me. I added some options and made a few changes, pushed an update to 1.1 in the DOStoPS3 thread (http://www.ps3crunch.net/forum/threads/1145-DOStoPS3).
