How we know if the UPDATE actually is being used? Usually in multiman it'll say VER. 1.02 but since the PARAM.SFO in BLUS30778 is edited to say 99.99 how does this work now?
Well i just checked in my Game data Utility and it reads, "Skyrim Update" then under info it also says Version 99.99 so i guess the PARAM.SFO for the UPDATE was also edited to read version 99.99
BTW: It works discless on external w/o reinstalling the game everytime.

Installed and tested with Skyrim on external discless.
I think this patched update 1.02 of Skyrim just shows the "power" of True Blue team and shut up some "friends" that trashes true blue outhere.
Go True Blue Team!

I could have sworn I read somewhere that even with the update it doesn’t really help the PS3 version just has issues. This is something I read it in no way reflects my own opinion I was just wondering if this is true or not? I read what the update fixes and it really addresses. The main issues ps3 users encountered are not rectified. It is just buggy. I myself played it and didn’t run into any issues but I just tried it I can’t bring myself to invest time in another game I can’t finish weather bugs or the long playtime makes me just lose interest. Either way can someone confirm or deny this accusation I read maybe I will give it a fair try if this does fix the more detrimental bugs. I guess I can try chipping away at it in 45 min increments try not to lose interest as fast. A.D.D. is a bitch LOL!

I guess you missed the part where I asked that very question. Usually you just install the .pkg update via usb and the game autmotatically links to that eboot in the dev_hdd0/game folder. I would check in multiman to make sure because it would tell what update its one, now it always says 99.99. But like JohnChan said delete the original eboot or rename it, then boot the game its updated, because if you delete the eboot in the BLUS/BLES folder and there's no update it wont have an eboot to boot from.

I read this as well.... Bethesda is supposed to be rolling out another update next week to fix the magic resistance, dragon flying backwards, etc. bugs

Sorry. :) But i was wondering: if i leave original TB eboot , because of the 99.99 version, which version will load if i use the tb patch, the original one or the patched one? Maybe i need to use original eboot/ remove the eboot?

Thats why I asked for the same very reason, in theory the patch is supposed to load and usually does, but like I said to really know delete the PARADOX eboot (the very first eboot released) and leave the game update eboot alone. If it still loads its using the patch, if not it isnt.

Aye. I agree with your theory. Better delete the TB eboot and leave the old one. I'm trying now deleting the eboot.
Failed. Better use the original eboot and we are all happy. Tried. Black screen. Analysing.
K, cool. Update doens't work at all without TB eboot. Black screen. No idea how to check if update is active more than trying to play. But actually, using original eboot doesn't load at all.
Maybe it's working , i will test. When my save will be over 6 Mb, i suppose i will not have any lag?

Right I'm now seeing this since I have been away. Wonderful release though it doesn't fix the issues on PS3 yet. Even the current the 1.04 patch being developed still wont fix the buggy game. We wait for 1.05 patch to get it all fixed and we can play with no problems.
Once again good work TB team.

You can only tell this if you know what version 1.2 fixed on the ps3. This is a changelog
Improved occasional performance issues resulting from long term play (PlayStation 3)
Fixed issue where textures would not properly upgrade when installed to drive (Xbox 360)
Fixed crash on startup when audio is set to sample rate other than 44100Hz (PC)
Fixed issue where projectiles did not properly fade away
Fixed occasional issue where a guest would arrive to the player’s wedding dead
Dragon corpses now clean up properly
Fixed rare issue where dragons would not attack
Fixed rare NPC sleeping animation bug
Fixed rare issue with dead corpses being cleared up prematurely
Skeleton Key will now work properly if player has no lockpicks in their inventory
Fixed rare issue with renaming enchanted weapons and armor
Fixed rare issue with dragons not properly giving souls after death
ESC button can now be used to exit menus (PC)
Fixed occasional mouse sensitivity issues (PC)
General functionality fixes related to remapping buttons and controls (PC)
Like I posted earlier nothing major was fixed for the PS3 so dont count on the 1.3 patch too as it is almost done with no major fix again for the PS3.

Well usually updates install in the dev_hd001/game folder, so if deleting the eboot from the actual game makes it black screen it either isnt using the update or PARADOX'S method has changed where updates install perhaps it installs over the old eboot and there isnt 2 eboots. Idk I'd have to look.
Just too a look. The game BLUS30778 has the 24.96 MB fixed eboot in it the update is located at dev_hdd0/game/BLUS30778 the eboot.bin here is 25.05 MB and two files say UPDATE.BSA and UPDATE.ESM. There's also another folder in the game folder that is BLUS30778 cache i think this is the ver 1.00 backup.
Anyway i changed the ver99.99 to 1.02 in PARAM in dev_hdd0/game/BLUS30778 folder and then went to multiman and it said ver 1.02 so in fact its using the update and game still works. I also new it was working via update cause you can run it discless on ext w/o any problems w/o update it has problems of reinstalling the game everytime.

Just get the Paradox Patch i just changed the PARAM to test update was actually being loaded. if i give you the PARAM i edited the only difference is Multiman will read 1.02 in it instead of 99.99, doesnt effect the game itself. Also they use 99.99 for a reason, just in case yr ps3 is on the net it wont accidentally update the game with a sony update, as 99.99 makes it think its Updated as high as possible, if that makes any sense.

Uhm ye. Editing param.sfo, could "surely" make update works. Wondering how 1.03 or other updates will work, if 1.02 is version 99.99

Uhm ye. Editing param.sfo, could "surely" make update works. Wondering how 1.03 or other updates will work, if 1.02 is version 99.99
Like I already typed they all will be 99.99 because some idiots still leave their ps3 hooked up to the internet and have automatic updates on, so if skyrim said 1.02 and bethesda released 1.03, the ps3 would update the game to 1.03 (not PARADOX hacked mind you) and game wouldn't run. 99.99 version tricks the update service into thinking it's updated as high as possible and thus aborts updating it.
Now only if they could switch 3.55 CFW to 99.99 CFW for the idiots who "accidentally" update their CFW. Changing version in PARAM literally does nothing except tell me which eboot its using. I could of made it say 1.05 update if I wanted that doesnt mean the currently fictional 1.05 update eboot is running however.

I think till when a menu will change or something will be visible, i'm not so sure how the 99.99 version will work. If every update is 99.99 how our game will prefer the update to the original one?

I dont know exactly how it redirects to the patch (prolly the eboot) but I know the ps3 looks at the param and eboot for game SDK ver and looks at the game id in the param. Maybe it looks at the all param's for the game id (original, patches, etc) and boots the highest one, that would make sense.

Hello again .
I have copied to BLES01330 paradox fix eboot and i have changed original ( from BLES01330 ) param.sfo ( by PS3SFOEdit ) to 3.55.
It is working but..... I HAVE ONLY FRENCH LANGUAGE ! What the f...k ? I can't change language to english ... Every text in game is in french only....
All options in my PS3 is turned to polish/english . Why i've got french in Skyrim ...? What should i do to make it in english ?

I'm not sure i understood.. you console is polish? Try to change all language of your ps3 to english and load again. Be sure your backup contains eng language.

renaming the language files sometimes works, i did this on 'up' as that was in french or spanish, just re-lable the language you want to the one its playing

Yo guys i tried playing Skyrim on 1.1v with paradox fix but it was almost unplayable cause of the bugs when i decided to instal the patch but after installing it and fixing the last 3 digits of the sfo saying 1.02 i just cant get it to open from the ps3/game file where you click to open a game. can you tell if i did something wrong. please help me out cause i loved the game but i really get frustrated with all those bugs.
it's quite possible i did something wrong correcting the sfo. can you type down exactly which numbers to replace with which or update the fixed sfo?
thanks in advance

Was just a theory, bud. Feel free to leave everything untouched. TB team released it as 99.99, tested as working, before a public release. So, reinstall the original PKG update for Skyrim, and amen ;)

You don't have to change it to say 1.02 that literally does nothing except make it display 1.02 in multiman. Furthermore if your ps3 is connected to the net changing it to 1.02 can make it update to 1.03 sony official patch and it wont run. (thats why paradox makes the PARAM read 99.99 or 50.00 etc, so it doesnt update itself).
So check to see in XMB game game data utility if 1.03 is installed and delete that install. If it's 1.02 or 99.99 and game still doesnt work delete 1.02 patch also then try to run game (will be v1.00) if it works, try to install 1.02 PARADOX patch again but this time leave the PARAM at 99.99

Even if you manage to get the link - so WHAT? It's decrypted by 3.6+ firmware.
Well - i hope TB team make a new FIXED patch for Skyrim because of unstability that game have.
ALSO - HOPE that TB team make update patch 1.05 for DARK SOULS. It's freakin' buggy and 1.0 have a slow level up process (yeah i know about glitch - but i want to play legally!) and problems with drop rate.
