My ps3 is broken. Is it possible to put a motherboard from another ps3 into it?
I have been reliably informed that mine is totally beyond repair, but I have found other faulty ps3's for sale from about £40. Has anyone got any experience with this? Or any suggestions? Cheers, guys and gals!

Job done PatrickBatman!
To answer Docherty's question, you should be able to as it's usually a matter of removing the motherboard by unscrewing and removing it from the chassis and replacing it.
I would make sure model numbers match as the MB has been through quite a few revisions
Yes, you can. Like what bitsbubba said, your model number needs to match the MB or else it won't work. Also, you may need to remarry your BD board if you change the board also.
I second this.
