DLC Region Swapping Tutorial
This is for using say like a EU DLC but you have the US game.
I wrote this as it can be confusing on which region you need for what (other things I've read don't thoroughly explain this)
Check to see if the game requires an update for the DLC to work (example: fallout 3 needs 1.61 patch)
If it does get the update for the region of your copy of the game not the DLC.
1. Get .rap for game in same region of game copy (not DLC)
2. convert .rap files with reactPSN or rap2rif
3. Put rif files in dev_hdd0/00000x/exdata directory on ps3 (if using rap2rif)
4.(if needed) install update patch for DLC to work (Patch must be same region as your copy of game)
If patch isn't needed actually run and install the game so it creates a folder in dev_hdd0/game/
5. Install DLC.pkg from the other region
6. Open a file manager browse to (i'll use Dead Space 2 for example) devhdd0/game/BLES01040 on left side, on right
side browse to dev_hdd0/game/BLUS30624
7. Move everything in dev_hdd0/game/BLES01040/USRDIR (DLC) to dev_hdd0/game/BLUS30624/USRDIR (GAME UPDATE)
(NOTE: this particular game didnt have a folder named dlc or DLC, so if it does just move that folder to the same
place you got it in DLC but into the game update folder. Never move the PARAM.SFO)
Basically everything you're using should be in the same region as the copy of your game except the DLC.pkg itself
and dont change any PARAM.SFO
