OK guys I saw this forum and figured I'd post about the n64 since I was never really was able to play it...
The question is: If you could remake any n64 game in todays graphics and other cool stuff what would it be and why?
I would definatly remake Ocarina of Time, I played it on gamecube but also had it for nintendo 64..
It would be cool if the game had two modes; classic(Original) and new(Hi-def,ect..). It would be really cool if it was also 3D(a deku shrub thing shooting out your screen!!). I would definatly buy it if its even up to $70.

while not a 64 title, I'd like a HD remake of Starfox (and for nintendo to finish StarFox2 as it was :p) and not have the landmaster or anything, just pure Arwing action.

My little sister who is two years older than me never managed to finish it off and she was a Zelda fan, but I managed to complete it during Ramadan two or three years ago via Project 64.

Agreed Dangwoot, but funnily enough I was playing the Wii remake earlier today LOL and the worst thing is Activision are planning to release that game for the Microsoft Xbox 360 and the Sony PlayStation 3 (talk about shagging the fuck out of a game franchise/series).
Speaking of the Activision/Eurocom remake of the game, I feel like punching that Hawaiian-Russian-Filipina punkass bitch Nicole Scherzinger just for singing that fucking travesty of a introductory track of the same name.
In fact, I had to mute it when I finish the first stage of the Wii remake.
Fucking hell!
Don't worry! I'm not going to commit an act of grevious bodily harm on anyone, otherwise I would be arrested and I wouldn't be on PS3Crunch!

Now THAT sucks dude! :(
You could always, ahem ahem, "acquire" the game and play it on the Dolphin Emulator! (this British Bangladeshi imbecile has said "Dolphin Emulator" too many times now LOL! :p)

Mmm, you could do either of the following:
- Get yourself a cheapass PC gamepad, preferably a PlayStation controller clone.
- Grab yourself an Xbox 360 controller and hook it up to the PC (or if you've got a wireless version of it, get yourself a Wireless Receiver for it) - my recommendation.
- [If you have got a PS3 controller] Grab the MotioninJoy drivers and use your PS3 gamepad with the PC.

I definitely recommend the XBOX360 controller or the PS3 one. In term of quality, durability and etc - you cannot go wrong with those ones. Third party cheap controllers tend to suck (especially MadCatz controller), break really quick.

While I kinda hate the Xbox360 Controller, I really like the original one, all you gotta do is slice the cord and wire it 1 for 1 to a usb connector and install the drivers, works flawlessly.
On Topic I would remake Legend of zelda Major's Mask game was so ahead of its time people to this day still cant comprehend how good it was. the 3 day cycle and how every little event changed I collected every mask including turning them all in at the end for the fierce deity mask
To date iv played thought this game 11 times

I liked the look of the FIRST Xbox controller (y'know; the one before the Xbox Controller S), but I found it a little bit awkward to use.
The Xbox Controller S looked a bit shitty in design, but it felt less awkward.
The Xbox 360 controller to me, is the best one by far!

What I Did Was a little more than cord splicing I took a broken Oringal Xbox and removed the 4 Game controler ports. took one of them and ripped apart a single button apple mouse cut a whole in the side and wired it up giving me a direct Xbox to PC converter....and my favorite controller the mad-cats original Xbox wireless ones

Forgot to mention what i love about PS3 PS2, and this controller is the D pad, sorry but the d pad on the 360 is horrible

HAHA I remember when I was reading up cord-splicing related stuff for this gamepad when I didn't have a PC dedicated gamepad.

Since this has been revived from a couple of months ago I suppose i'll make a post.
A game I would like to see remade is Hybrid Heaven. While the game itself was mediocre, it was still interesting and had a somewhat unique leveling system. I sure as hell think it would need a massive brush up on everything before it would even be worth playing if remade but I think it would be a decent remake depending if they put enough time into it.

well zelda yea ,but that is too obvious and we have it remade for the 3ds,
but id have to say , castlevania 64 and the sequel remade for wii with the wiimaote for the whip and motion plus for whip control and extended combos and whip options and the nunchuch for throwing your 2nd ary weapon with a flick of your wrist ,i love those games , i love the boss battles and the items, he vamp cure , and and poison antidote, and the day knight scheme ,the alternate endings and boss battle if you buy too many items
i could never see how the cv purists didnt like it, they didnt really like any 3d games though if it were up to them all games would still be in 2d, i loved it though ,the hedge maze is one of the scariest parts of any game
and also goemon legend of mystical ninja, which is one of the best n64 games of all time too , it held me over till ocarina came out, the game is very unique and has a quirky japanese sense of humor to it, has anyone here finished it ? its an awesome game , but very difficult to emulate, my new i3 laptop can do it ok but it gets hot enough to fry and egg and crashes after about 30-40 minutes with pj64 , i would love to play this on the ps3 someday
also i like to see all the metroid games for cube done over with an other-m 3rd person view style but have have full 3d analog control ,also they should do another other-m with analog control and fix the problems it had like concentration to replenish missiles and energy instead of collecting it, and hae it so you go find all the items and power ps instead of having them from the begining and being able to use them, such a disappointment, especially since i been waiting to see a 3d 3rd person metroid since the n64 , and siince the graphics looked so good and the game had the old classic nes enemies rendered in 3d,something else i been waiting for since the original

Since everyone is going crazy about Zelda(who doesn't like Zelda?! ;)) I'll throw in bomberman 64, I really liked that game. I even played it today.
You can call me and my girlfriend nerds but we still have our nes, snes, n64, ps1, ps2, gamecube and all the games and so on. I just bought a new(used from amazon - really cheap) n64 a week ago because the old one just broke.
My girlfriend is playing diddy kong racing at the moment, that game is also really nice :)
Emulators are nice but it's just not the same feeling, I need the original consoles to get the feeling. I get goosebumps when I play nes games, really reminds me of my youth.
So BTT: I'd remake bomberman64 and maybe also diddy kong racing. Funny games :)

Diddy Kong Racing - my second N64 game that I had (first one was Super Mario 64 which is still my favorite 3D Mario game). :D
Here's my list of remakes that I would live to see, besides the Zelda ones obviously:
- Diddy Kong Racing
- Super Mario 64 (There was a DS remake but blah ME WANT HOME CONSOLE REMAKE GRRHHH LOL)
- Banjo Kazooie/Banjo Tooie
