yea this guy makes some amazing stuff, like his ps3 and 36o and wii laptops, i was really impressed with the case, i may look into vacuforming molding machines, i found some plans for a cnc foam cutter, but this looks really usefull too

i been wanting to make a wiitendo really badly, one that replaces the slot load dvd drive for one with a drawer, only because it just looks so cool,ive seen videos on yt there they have a regular dvd player mounted inside a nintendo chasis, and the little door on the front lifts up by itself and the drawer slides out, then when the drawer goes back in it closes , idk i think its sexy
would be nice to build a perfectly fitted wiitendo with a drawer drive like that,and a modded wii inside,just sucks it wont do gc games w/o a slot load drive , i guess if i was ben id make a regular slot load non d2e wii drive into a drawer load instead of slot load, just convert the load mechanisim
just have to decide wheather to keep it stock color on outside,i was liking the zelda console mod on YT with the triforce window cut out on top with yellow leds, and 2 tone mirror gold paint job

That wasn't, made by Ben heck, just a member of its forums, unless you mean SifuF is famous for his laptops!, but yes ben heck is amazing at what he dose.

has instructions on building a vacuum forming machine with a shop vac, you could probably find something similar.

Also, you guys might enjoy MAKE Magazine, a print magazine available at retail bookstores and they have a website (makezine.com). People make all kinds of crazy and amazing stuff: electronic, mechanical, retro, whimsical, clever,... They even have big fairs in different cities for people to show off their stuff. People have formed clubs to pool all their junk and make projects. It is cool people are still into diy.
