No problem. Yeah, the remix is the first one to install for sure. I installed about all of the ones in the first link. Various people have also reworked several areas and battle scenes. The guy that put together the bootleg.exe lists all the mods individually here: I used about all of the graphical enhancements (surprised my laptop can do it) and the avalanche mod. The remastered music makes a huge difference, too. There's also an easy to use program called black chocobo that lets you edit a ridiculous amount of stuff in any game save you have, even psx or ps3 version saves.

Good stuff--probably the closest thing to a remake we'll ever see.

You seem to be the big Final Fantasy fan around here, so I thought this might interest you. Have you ever seen or played around with the mods people have put together for the pc version of FFVII? I randomly stumbled on this the other day. The game looks significantly better with the mods, and they even fixed some glitches. I've also replaced some of the original sound effects with better ones, just for kicks.

Here's the tutorial I followed. There's a lot more mods than just the ones he mentions, but it's still good. Someone completely remastered the music for one of the mods, making it sound a kajillion times better--that's another one worth looking into, if you're interested.
This is an .exe file someone put together that automates the installation of most of the good mods.
