It's important to note that deleting the generated icon will annihilate the installed game data (unless it's installed on a separate folder of its own).
once again deank comes up with the goods.brillant stuff again as always.dont know whats wrong when i am using the program though.i drag the ps3 game folder over onto the discboot exe,box opens up a load of writing goes up the screen and a folder is created (name of the game)with nothing in it,but in the main folder where the discboot exe is,there is a pkg file but it does not say if it is for 3.41 or 3.55.

Look out for an error that you may be missing zlib1.dll
i did get that message about the missing dll file.so i downloaded the file and put it in the correct folder on windows.message does not come up now but i still can not seem to generate the three files inside the new folder,only 1 pkg file in the main directory.am using windows 7 by the way.

Extract the archive to a folder without spaces in the name... like
X:\directBOOT\

Well, i was getting the same message as "Steplay29"....... an empty game name folder, and a package, outside the folder that does not state weather for 3.41 etc in its filename.
So i tried some different titles, and they all work as they should.
The one that would not work was "Ico & Shadow of collosus" pack,...... i wanna burn this cos i am lazy and cant be bothered FTPing to internal as it has files bigger than 4 gig...
Bummer.......... the only game i got that i want to burn.......
Anyone know why this is different to any other game?
just back from work and was about to try what deank said and i saw the aboive post.i am trying to do the same game as judgerokk Ico & Shadow of collosus so it must be something to do with that game well on my system anyways.will try a different game and report back later.thanks deank and dasanko for your help.has anyone started up a list of games that work with this method?
