You mean from a 3.56+ firmware, using progskeet or any other method? Sure, if your method doesn't have a restriction (like E3 downgrade) and you have a 3.55/lower working, just put your 3.55-dongle and you're ready

Well for ps1 and ps2 imgburn/DVD decrypter was the way to go, you didn't have to set anything it was already set up for playstation, so if maybe a new edition has bdr support that may work on PC (Havent tried bluray with it because i dont have a bluray burner or maybe even try isobuster to extract the files).

then does that mean its possible to actually add the stuff into a CFW? or to make the dongle CFW work on any ps3 without the dongle itself? assuming your saying about the security being broken is true? or is it a bit more complicated than that?
