Even tho their PS2 hardware add-on was real, it used stolen free software tools re-branded as their own, and total lack of support.
I say it is same thing here, if is by the small chance real, all they done is figured out how to use existing tools or some currently warez only info like Team duplex has and redid the eboot on the pirated blu-ray disc to work.
Or it could be just hack-up job like Madden 12, people figured out you can get that game working a bit without save files, etc. by mixing madden 11 and 12 together, that could cover fifa 12, but not sure on pes 2012.
All I can say it tough getting any proof outside of the indonesia area.

Well, far be it for me to me Mr. Optimist, but given that we may soon see a CFW that can supposedly handle 3.66 games, and Multiman is handling burned BD backups of PS3 games, I'm not sure the claims are outlandish, and obviously there is product on shelves. If it is fake, I find it hard to believe some angry customers wouldn't have done something about the vendors selling them.
Given that, I'd put the possibility at slightly more than 50/50 that it's for real.
Still, all this needs to be taken with a grain of salt until somebody "well known" in the scene gets a hold of the device.

I think if this was a fake then wouldn't they be claiming better features like playing off the hdd in order to generate more sales/hype. Maybe I'm just being too optimistic but the features are so limited it seems to make it sound more genuine to me.

That's the point I'm making. If they were trying to scam they would be trying to sucker us into pre-ordering, but they're not, which gives us some hope. Even if it's only a slim hope!
Isn't that what he's saying ? I.e. why make the feature list not as extensive as it could be, if it was a lie, to sucker people in and take their cash.
They haven't done that, so maybe that gives more credence that it's real........is the point I think he's trying to make.

my bad, I misunderstood what you were saying >.>, I wrote that after having a 3 hour mock interview with a police services board (most, stressful thing, ever lol) Perhaps they're waiting before they start with the pre-order dance, to come right out the gate with 'preorder now' would look horridly scammy, they may be taking a slower approach to scamming us.
Either way, once it's done, I'm sure people will be all over it to reverse it, like Cobra, however, unlike cobra, people are craving newer games, so I'm sure it'd be cloned within days, and then be implimented into a CFW.
