I want to hear from somebody who has tried this v2.4 update on a jb-king - should be interesting
Your answer is in the first paragraph of your quote
The True Blue team has received samples from the retail market of the True Blue clone "JB King".
You would think since the update came out after they got samples of JB King they already made sure it wont work before the release. TB wont screw up like that.

I'm aware of what TB have said regarding this, that's why I'm curious as to the experiences of somebody who has tried this with a jb-king. I'm wondering by what manner they "disable" it from functioning with jb-king.
Kudos TB team! I'm glad to see this huge advancement posted by Gary!
I hope you crush the clones, and make them obsolete, further protecting our investment in your product and pushing you and your affiliated scene groups forward into cracking more and more eboots.
Regards and now you've gave me a Merry Christmas!
EDIT: I giggle as a teenage girl every time I read the sentence "With many yet unannounced features to come"... :O What could those possible be?! I'm hoping to be amazed! :P
Their English has really improved since the website came up. Now we can all understand what they are saying without the usual bit of confusion.
Can't wait to see which eboots come up tonight though. Something for the weekend
Maybe they used their profits to hire a translator.

Can someone explain what they mean by 'game compatibility' issues? If they have keys which they are re-signing with their own, or have 'total control' of eboot decryption, why would some games work and not others? I thought either they all would work or none of them would. I can't see this being the reason that we haven't had any decent games we asked for like PES or Batman. Thanks in advance to anyone for replying.
You know what dude, you say I'm basing everything off of pure theory and I have nothing to back it up with, but aren't you as well? All you seem to do is sit here and say "Hi everyone, your dongle is gonna brick no matter what after extensive use so don't bother with it." Seriously, if you don't like the dongle that's fine. But quit with the damn scare mongering.
Also "I'm sure you wasn't writing this stuff, prea, if was your dongle the one bricked." Actually yes I would. As I would know it was my fault. Even still I would simply contact the reseller and get mine replaced instead of bitching on the forums everyday about it and finding 100 different ways to basically say "Hi, I know all the facts your TB dongle WILL brick, I know everything and you don't." - For the past several days or even weeks you have been acting like you know everything there is to know about this dongle and everyone else knows nothing. Hell your even starting to do the same thing with JB-King.
The fact is, you don't know everything there is to know about this dongle. Neither do I. We only have theories etc. But I can tell you this, I've been playing games like crazy with my TB dongle and I haven't had a single problem. So your theory that "You know why you don't see tons of post of bricked dongle? Because is arrived few days ago, for most. Give time. Trust me, you will trow worst than me, when your dongle will brick." is 100% false! Plain and simple!
So do us all a damn favor and quit fear mongering. I understand that your pissed off about your dongle bricking. But contact the damn reseller, get it replaced, and be done with it. Don't sit here on the forums and act like your know all the facts and everyone else is just dumb. I haven't had a single problem with my TB dongle and I've been using it like crazy. So enough with the "it's gonna brick with extensive use" crack pot theories!
So finally - Stop with the crackpot theories and know it all attitude and actually do something. Contact lighttake or whoever, ask for a replacement instead of sitting on the forum every day and saying "EVERYONE your dongle is gonna break it's just a matter of time." - No it won't break. My dongle is working just fine and I've been running it ragged. If you spent more time actually contacting the reseller to get a replacement and less time sitting on here and trying to say you know without a shadow of a doubt that everyone's dongle is gonna break and it's only a matter of time, maybe just maybe you would actually be enjoying it!
EDIT: Also patrick doesn't have a dev dongle. It was only one eboot that was showing that "DEV". Likewise you need to learn what DOA's mean. DOA'S happen for every piece of electronic that exists. Why do you think companies have a dedicated DOA reimbursement policy? A DOA will happen no matter the product. It's something that just happens with electronics. You want proof? here's one company that has a DOA policy - Newegg. Newegg is a retail company for millions upon millions of different electronics. So it's not just a TB issue. http://www.newegg.com/HelpInfo/FAQDetail.aspx?Module=5 Look under " What is the return policy for CPUs? How does the CPU return policy work?" Now even though it is under the CPU section, Newegg has a DOA policy for every piece of equipment they sell. This is just one example. So please stop with the "TB will brick because of XYZ and it has a lot of DOA's." ALL PRODUCTS DOA.
Here's another topic on DOA's from newegg - http://www.overclockers.com/forums/s...d.php?t=585400 DOA's are an unfortunate thing that happens with all devices. most of the time they are rare, but sometimes a product lineup can have a lot of DOA's. It just depends. But usually those products are fixed or a complete recall will happen.
EDIT: Also @ everyone - I'm not saying I'm opposed to a "unbricking program" but right now if yours does brick - contact the reseller and get it replaced instead of bitching about it waiting for THEM to fix it! I've had problems with motherboards, CPU's, monitors, etc, etc, basically all forms of electronics and you know what I did? I took matters into my own hands and got a replacement. I didn't wait for the company to fix the problem for me. Why? Because they won't always fix things in a timely manner or sometimes they will NEVER fix the problem. So if you take matters into your own hands, you'll have a better chance of enjoying the product.
FINAL EDIT: Actually no barth - I'm not saying "ha my dongle works and yours doesn't so screw off." I'm saying "stop complaining and start doing something about it. Likewise stop putting forth "theories" and "speculation" as if they are cold hard facts. because they AREN'T. I sympathize with everyone that has had a brick. Well besides you. Why? Because everyone else is doing something about it. Plus they aren't sitting here creating "theories" "speculation" and "fear mongering" then saying they are absolute facts. That's my problem. Have you even tried contacting lighttake or whoever your reseller is to see if they will send you a new TB dongle? If you haven't then you have absolutely no reason to be complaining. As you aren't doing anything to solve the problem.
