i have an old TB dongle...is it safe to update to 2.6????coz other site says that:
The v2.51 firmware comes with the newest dongles, and should not be used with older models; in other words, v2.5 users do not attempt to update to v2.51!
Gary said that BEFORE the official announcement of the update, but now that the True Blue have decided to release the update, it is now probably safe to do so.

Well if you never installed anything for react psn and just have tb cfw v2 then you should be good for the update. Lucky for me I was able to downgrade back to 2.5.1. Thanks for releasing that version true blue, or else i would be stuck with a useless dongle to pleasure myself with. eerrr wut?

EDIT-
BTW, I think everyone should give a big thank you to Senaxx. in today's age of file hosting sites vanishing. Senaxx is offering us a option. ( A Good option. Love the site. ) and he keeps it updated for us.
Thanks Senaxx

Hy guys
First of all, thanks for Senaxx for the file hosting, wouldn't be able to get the new TB fw without him
So If I haven't installed any spoofer or tool that modified the PS3 fw then I will probably be fine with dongle fw 2.6, right?
I don't use any homebrew, just Showtime, but I don't think it would cause problems..(?)
If for some reason, can I downgrade the dongle to 2.51?
you should be fine, and to downgrade is nothing special. just instal it, run it, insert dongle, and click ok.
but right now unless I missed something, Gary suggested we stay on 2.5.1 for now, and just wait on a updated 2.6
can't find the post right now but he said something along the lines of go ahead and update to 2.5.1, that will let you play the next release of eboots. and 2.6 should be out in a week.
and I am glad that they are working on trying to fix 2.6 to be compatible with the modifications some have done. they could have said, " tough shit, delete everything and just use this and forget about REact "
found the post one page back, and he is quoting the TB team

that does not sound like the monsters that the cloners and haters were making them out to be.
EDIT-
BTW has anyone have any idea on any tools TB related. saw a screen shot of one at another forum, looks interesting but when someone asked them about it they kinda talked out of there mind... Anyway, my question is, is there any such tools out there? this one seemed to list all available eboots and gave you the latest Patch and CFW.
