I'm sorry but I have been reiterating this one point countless times and not one person can do this one small task. All you have to do is go here www.damox.net/gameupdatesall.php?type=PS3# download a patch for a game. Install the patch. See if the game works. Is no one but me curious in knowing if the game will still run after being updated ? It's mind boggling, I'm pretty sure if this works, more people would be interested. Gaahhhh!!!! Takes one SECOND!
Pretty sure updates wont work being nothing else does if it isnt straight from the TB downloaded game. If updates worked then we could just switch eboots and param which we cant so far.

from looking at the information they changed in the Rage PARAM.SFO I would say no, as they changed the version number from 1.XX to 99.99 that way it would never look for an update

Well I guess I will pass this True Blue dongle up if that's the case. It's good to play those games that have minor updates, but no point if you can't update a game that has game-breaking bugs. I guess I will wait for a TB implementation of this in a CFW if its possible in the near future, nothing to spend my money on.
For everyone planning on buying 'True Blue' for lightake there is a 5 percent off coupon that also gives you free shipping.
Type in "Scoop" in the coupon field at checkout.
If anyone else knows of a cheaper place to buy it or a better coupon, post it.
I really want to buy one of these, I really want to play 3.60+ games but I think I'm gonna wait.
I'd like to support the devs and probably will I just can't get past the fact that odds are it will get reverse engineered...
I guess I'll wait another week or two and see.
Q&A Q: Is this posible on other dongles from the FW3.41 days like Blackcat and Teensy? A: Time will tell
Q: Are they (TB team) just stealing the dev eboots? A: First we tought that too but today the first TB game was released Dirt 3 and it's working and it isn't a dev ebootso it maybe is really worth something so it's time to search why and how to use it.

Before this sounds bad, I totally agree with you. It's just funny how everyone on here is so ANTI-PIRACY now it's suddenly ok, but I get why we really don't have a choice as no one can get original backups working with TB yet and no one from true blue or paradox has told us how.
How is it exactly anti-piracy? If you buy this dongle, then you get the value of many games for just the price of one. A person had to have bought something to play the games in the first place. It's like "how do I play games without a disc?" Answer: You use a hard drive. If you don't have one, you buy one. That costs money. Even before that you need a ps3 to play ps3 games so that cost money. If there ever was an emulator, you would need a computer, that cost money. If a person has all of the things to play at least 3.55 games and optionally from hdd, then they shouldn't have a problem with a dongle that is the price of one game to play many games. Yet there are many people who act so frugal and think they in fact are entitled to free games. Pirating out of a desire to pirate is one thing, pirating because you think everybody owes you is another. Those people are never satisfied. True pirates know they are not entitled to other's work and are thankful when they get it for free or cheap. They also do not blow up on the ones who gives them free stuff just because of a price tag (that is really small in comparison to) or because the free stuff stops coming. To them, if you release stuff you're a god, if you stop, even for illness or whatever reason, you're the devil. I don't view this as teaching anti-piracy, I view it as teaching ethics and humble manners. Being a pirate doesn't mean you have to treat you're fellow human like shit just because they don't serve you.
BTW This rant is not directed at you. So no offense.
