yea i started reading thru all the links for 3.56 downgrade and no luck there... now im trying to find a link for how to solder e3 flasher on fat ps3 and theres nothing but tutorials for slims...
Everyone I've read thats downgraded (from 3.70+ usually) hasn't had any luck with TB because of no lv1 patch.

Well it is region free just not MRTC (multiregional) meaning it has a bunch of languages. It wouldn't boot EU from a US eboot if it wasn't region free. But to avoid things like these I left RF off the compatibility list and kept it as US. But sometimes multiregional and region free are used interchangeably (when in fact region free should play any region and multiregion more than one region). What language do you need it in anyway? Obviously you have a decent grasp of English as you post on this forum. Region free and multi region however don't mean every language in the world is on the DVD/BluRay or even the lingua franca languages. It just means it can play on a console with that/those regions.
I can play some japanese games on my US console but the menus arent in english (depends on the game).

Well try another release if you can. Just get the US release unless you absolutely dont want english.

Well, PatrickBatman. If conforts you, my dongle is dead too. During a copy with NTFS. When finish, i tried to load the game, gave me an error. Maybe incompatible. Dunno. But dongle just died. It's not detected on any usb port. I'm trying, like you did, with restore file system, failed, now CFW installation again. Bricked. Pfff. Gotta find the old dongle now for unbrick, fucking boring. Wondering if this stupid dongle will come back alive. tsk.
CFw reinstalled. Update of dongle is impossible. It's not detected as usb neither , when inserted. Dongle is died. And i'm over 1 month, warranty is finish. Pffff, if i need to pay 70 bucks every month, i'm done with this dongle.

That's bad news Barth. How many hours per day did you use it? It has only 1 month warranty? They say that the stick is a high quality build, if that's so why did it brick? I hope that you'll be able to make it work again Barth.

I was okay with them selling a dongle as long as it works as promised, but not with them selling the poorly made dongle that seems to be giving so many people problems. It seems their dongle is either poorly made or the protection is suicide bricking out of paranoia. It seems I made a good choice to wait even though waiting was more out of the fact I didn't have the money. Shame the dongle is crapping on it's biggest supporters. At this rate I think I will just hack my 360 since most of the newer games are also for it and I don't have to worry about buying a dongle every month and waiting a month for it to arrive.
