I think too , its the same group from there the first psjb dongle cames and look at this :
quote: I live in indonesia, and here in my country, there is a hot rumor about new dongle called JB2 and can play 3.60+ game burned to Blank BD.. It also still can play from HDD...
currently sifting through the SDK - with a view to really p1$$ sony off, when i find what i want.
so far, nada found in the 1.60 SDK (i dunno if this is a full build or not)
onto the next version.
// TEMPLATE CLASS hash_set
{ // hash table of key values, unique keys
^^ this is from an OLD toolset, just getting some 3rd party insight and assistance with sifting through this, now it appears im on some kind of track (whether its the right track or not, will remain to be seen)
it'd be nice to have a full dump of this new dongle and supporting programs/dll's - if what im thinking is correct, from where im sitting its not so much a matter of finding the key's per-say, i believe there may well be a way to forcibly rewrite the keycheck value so that no matter what you put in the bluray drive, if it has the right content (headers/selfs etc) it will be allowed to execute..
edited - dont need 'code' on the page, headers are enough to convey what im doin.
And before the flaming starts, im no expert - but at least im doing SOMETHING

Well it doesn't look like anything too positive is going to come of this really, unless the new keys are involved some way, which it doesn't look like they are.
So in essence, we've got a way of playing games from the last few months, as long as we can somehow grab all the debug eboots, and of course work out how to integrate using them in a CFW, but this doesn't offer anything going forward, assuming Sony block off that access to debug eboots......I think I'm right in stating all this....?

Not the most original product descriptions I've ever come across. One of them has copied and pasted the text from Gary's front page post as the description. And the other site has a collection of forum posts as there product description. Who wants to take a big leap and be the first to spend $99? Not me anyway, without Gary confirming these guys.

I have not the necessary knowledge on this stuff (i praise all the "bright brains" working on this thing, like "reverse engineering"), but is my understandment that is not that clear that all this "dongle stuff" is only based on debug eboots. I have started to read ps3devwiki to start understanding the basics and follow developments. Letīs see where this ends.
Gary, with your "encryption conversations", that sounds so 007 talk :-D
