my idea for the lackluster release is maybe they are just testing the waters to see what the cloners are doing with the eboots and seeing how well 2.61 is working. or testing to see if any new security measures work. it makes sence, 2 us/eur releases and 2 jap releases.
I think they are 'beta' testing the eboots with the cloners.

Sorry. I'll be laughing even in my sleep at this. Before there was True Blue, there was modchips, and before there was True Blue, there was the original ps3 jailbreak dongles. And in between those things there were free solutions. And there were solutions that seemed free, but were in reality not. My point is, aren't you jumping the gun here saying that there will be no free solutions anymore? In order for that to be true, one of three things need to happen. A. hackers that would release things for free, must decide they would rather not and want to make a killing. B. people that would hack for free refrain from doing so. or C. hacking through software becomes too hard for normal users to do that a modchip or other device is needed, such as the jailbreak dongles. If you are insinuating the reason is A. Then I would have to question the motives of the hackers. You would make them out to be greedy, but I say they probably wouldn't have released it in the first place if they headed straight to charging. If you mean B. I say similar things. Is True Blue so scary that they cease to hack. True Blue can't sue them, Sony could, Microsoft could, Nintendo could, but not True Blue. Or are you saying that people wanting to play games are to blame? Or maybe you mean that because they are too busy playing games, they' So they should just not play them, because then True Blue would make money? Or maybe you mean they would be so busy playing games that they will never hack again? How dare True Blue provide entertainment to a hacker or future hacker! Or are you referring to C. Because if so then there is no way that you can blame True Blue for helping people play games. At least you couldn't blame them anymore than you can blame psp hackers for any new security of the vita.
These hackers must be weak minded if they can be stopped or influenced by True Blue. All in all, I have to ask where are you in all of this? Are you being hindered by greed, or by lack of motivation caused by True Blue? In all honesty would you hack in the future even if True Blue, or would you not even bother? You consider it such a sin that somebody pays for anything. After all you called everyone a sad git. You misdiagnose us. We're not sad, we're happy. Well, I am, and I don't even own a True Blue. If you're sad, you're doing it wrong. Play some games or figure out hacking if paying for games is that much of a burden on your soul. And don't pull that bullshit scamming technique that so called moral hackers like to pull from time to time.
Lastly, so what if there is no more free hacks. I definitely prefer playing games to not playing games, and I certainly prefer it to the bullshit that went on last year before True Blue arrived. Of course I found an alternate solution so I ultimately didn't need a True Blue, but if I didn't have that, I would have bought one.
Regardless what happens, I still think it's funny that you give True Blue too much credit in hacking's supposed future downfall. Even funnier is the idea that maybe True Blue planned on hackers just giving up, giving in, or $ony/Micro/Ninty getting wise. I can just imagine the Nerd Rage in your eyes as you typed that, and that is the funniest thing of all as it reminds me of that meme and all I have to say to that is, grudge much?
