    • BSACMD

    Lets Get Started:
    1. Download your favorite mod (preferably one with esp file)
    2. If it needs to use meshes and textures you will need to ftp oblivion - meshes.bsa, oblivion - textures - compressed.bsa and oblivion.ini to your desktop.
    3. Run the FTP Server on your PS3 (It will show you your PS3 IP ADDRESS)
    4. How to ftp without downloading a program for pc open any folder, where it shows the file directory change it to ftp:// YOUR PS3 IP ADD

    5. Now go to dev_hdd0/game/OMAN46756/GAMEZ/BLUS- 30087/PS3_GAME/USRDIR/DATA [*NOTE IT MAY BE DIFFERENT IF YOU USE A BACKUP MANAGER OR DIFFERENT REGION]
    6. Drag and drop oblivion - meshes.bsa, oblivion - textures - compressed.bsa, and oblivion.ini. to your desktop
    7. Run BSACMD
    8. Click Pack (Make sure you keep the orginal files safe put it in a folder named oblivion. then right click all the files then select copy and then paste it to your desktop)

9.Click Pack again (make sure you have the correct values)
    Meshes:
    Archive flags (hex) - 00000707
    File flags (hex) - 00000041
    Textures:
    Archive flags (hex) - 00000707
    File flags (hex) - CDCD0002
[those hex values to took from the orginal bsa files]
    10. After it has finished rename them
for example: you esp is called MODS.ESP
name the bsa files: MODS - MESHES.BSA and MODS - TEXTURES.BSA
    11.Double Click oblivion.ini
    - Look for STESTFILE2=
    - Put the name of your esp

    12. Now Look for sEssentialFileCacheList and add your esp do it for all languages including xUSA

    13. Now you are going to add the bsa files to sArchiveList do it to all languages including xUSA

    14.Now Save it !
    15.Make a folder named INSTALLEDDLC
    - open notepad and on the 1st line put the esp file name all in captials for example = MODS.ESP save as PLUGINS and DLCLIST
    - Put the esp file and PLUGINS.txt, and DLCLIST.txt in INSTALLEDDLC
    16. oblivion. ini goes in dev_hdd0/game/OMAN46756/GAMEZ/BLUS-30087/PS3_GAME/USRDIR/ & dev_hdd0/game/BLUS30007/USRDIR/

    17.INSTALLEDDLC goes in dev_hdd0/game/OMAN46756/GAMEZ/BLUS-30087/PS3_GAME/USRDIR &
    dev_hdd0/game/BLUS30007/USRDIR/

    18. The bsa files go in dev_hdd0/game/OMAN46756/GAMEZ/BLUS- 30087/PS3_GAME/USRDIR/DATA & dev_hdd0/game/BLUS30007/USRDIR/DATA
    19. Run the game through backup manager
    20.Go to */app_home/PS3_GAME push X

And your Done! I can confirm this does work!!!

I can get mods which only require .ESP files to work, when it comes to meshes and textures i can only get the meshes to be in the game. Has this really been tested to work with mods which require textures? where's the proof?

esp files work great with fallout3 and falloutNV but I have had a hard time getting oblivion to load any mod. Some people said you need to be on 3.41 to get mods to load with oblivion. I havent tried loading from gamez I load from game I will try this.

I have gotten this to work, but I don't have proof because I don't have a cap card or anything, sorry.

I finally have mods working in oblivion goty.

riggsymalone posted a useful tip on that other site:

what I did was delete the game and save data, then put your installeddlc in the relevant places ie (bles00163 usrdir.)go into multiman and load the game internal. then go to app_game and launch the game. Then quit the game go back into filemanager in multiman and oblivion should have created a new folder. On my pal goty oblivion it was bles00048 i think and i then put the installeddlc folder in the usrdir of this new folder.
Go and launch the game again through app_game and voila !!! alternate start on a ship.

I am a little bit unclear on your tut dante. For custom meshes/textures you extracted the original oblivion - meshes/testures.bsa and renamed them with your mod?
