I must admit though to being interested in how they are doing this and what method they are using.

DUPLEX are leading the way at the moment and long may it continue.
Honestly I think they should keep their findings to themselves and keep on releasing fixes and PSN wonders. We wouldn't want SONY patching their exploit if it is patchable that is. I may be wrong with this decision but for now this is the way forward and I think it's awesome. I guess it's official that no one expects a new CFW cos we are staying on 3.55 whether you like it or YES. This is good, really good i must say.

    Gosh double post.... Sorry

If DUPLEX do start releasing patches for the latest games rather then just PSN titles then all talk of 3.60 cfw is finished because it would be pointless.

I agree that they should keep quiet incase the exploit can be closed.

Must admit to admiring their work, no drama just releases.

These releases come with an install .pkg and a crack .pkg, I've searched a little bit but haven't been able to find someone explain what the crack pkg actually does. I understand the function of a crack, that's not what i'm asking, but have the cracks been unpacked and the processes looked into?

That would be the piracy angle. The only "drama" involving pirates is the fighting between groups as they compete to crack and release shit before anyone else. THAT's how it should be

They're just simply PARAM.SFO/EBOOT.BIN wrapped into newbie-friendly .PKG installers. All the PKGs do is simply copy the PARAM/EBOOT (and perhaps any other files that were edited) into their correct locations, saves having the user fire up FTP software and transfer manually.

yep, hell even when Skidrow, razor1911, Reloaded have a tiff, it doesn't devolve as bad as this scene has, in fact it usually motivates them to go faster and harder lol

You just reminded me of the race to crack AC2 for PC and how long it took.
