Connect Any Windows 7 PC to your PS3 using a patched Remote Play app
One of the key features of the Sony Vaio PC's is that you can connect your 'desktop' to your PS3 and control and play games which have 'Remote Play' Enabled.
Now thanks to some clever PS3 'developers' out there, you can now patch this app, and use it on any PC running Windows 7, not just the costly 'Sony Vaio' line of products.
If you don't own a Sony Vaio, you can now use your PC to do Remote Play with your PS3.
Here are some of the games that work:
Aqua Vita/Aquatopia (PSN game)
Anarchy: Rush Hour (PSN game)
Bejeweled 2 (PSN game/demo)
Bionic Commando Rearmed (PSN game/demo)
BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger (BD game)
FirstPlay (PSN software)
Gundemonium Recollection (PSN game)
High Stakes on the Vegas Strip: Poker Edition (PSN game)
Imabikisou (BD game/PSN demo)
Lair (BD game)
LEGO Batman (BD game)
Life with PlayStation (PSN software)
Mainichi Issho (PSN game)
Misato Katsuragi’s Reporting Plan (PSN game)
Peggle (PSN game)
Peggle Nights (PSN game add-on)
PixelJunk Eden (PSN game/demo)
PixelJunk Monsters (PSN game/demo)
PixelJunk Shooter (PSN game)
PlayStation 1 games (CD games/demos, PSN games/demos)
PlayTV (BD software/PSN demo)
SingStar (BD game)
SingStar Vol. 2 (BD game)
SingStar ABBA (BD game)
VidZone (PSN software)
Weekly Toro Station (PSN game)
Zuma (PSN game/demo)
If you have a SFO editor you can enable Remote Play for other games as well.
To do this you need to download Sony's Remote Play app (Suggest you grab them before Sony pulls them and patchs them so stop this!)
hey i have a vaio laptop , the article says "the costly vaio series" but i think i got a decent deal on it, it was 700 and its 14" with a blu ray drive and a wireless display i3 i got it about 16 months ago,
the only thing bad about it is ,that it dont even have a screen capable of 1080p display which kinda defeats half the purpose of the built in blu ray, that and the fact the wireless display is also limited on it so you can only send 720p to the tv and you cant send "protected content" whatever that means exactly, but it means no dvd and bluray streaming over wireless display
no if you want to stream your desktop with the intel wireless display you have to buy a whole new pc with generation2 core i to go from streaming 720p to 1080p and to be able to stream bluray and dvd and other "protected content" i hardly see why you would need a whole new processor to do that ,other then the fact that intel deliberatly holds back the technology with their fw to make the 1st gen core i processors not do it ,so they force you to buy a new laptop with a new intel chip and new intel MB and graphics card to boot ,oh and you need to also buy a 2nd generation wireless display reciever too ,scum bags
this would have been a good alternative to the wireless display but if im going to have ps3 hooked up to the tv there is no need to use the laptop i guess ,except for other stuff i can already do on the ps3 or stuff that dont need the high def,so kinda pointless
...or God forbid, only have access to firmware updates ONLY VIA A PS3, EA-style (can't even find an offline-friendly update package for the PC version of FIFA 12, which led me to that conclusion ).
