my dongle is fine but something weird happened.
Ive bought a hub to play while the controller is charging so i pluged the external hdd on the hub and the hub on the first usb port (no true blue problems so far since it was on the second port) but the hdd didnt work because the hub hasnt enought power to get the hdd working, so i turned off my ps3 took out the tb dongle took out the external hdd and put it again at the first port now the true blue was on the hub and the hub on the second port, so i started my ps3 and the dongle didnt work the light was red at it was supposed to be green, so i restarted my ps3 again and again and again and nothing worked, i was almost crying because it was the second day, then i took out the hub started the ps3 only with true blue (no hub no hdd) and it WORKED! then i restarted my ps3 did the same think ive done be4 and the true blue started red but then it turned green, (TB was on the hub and the hub at the second port, hdd was also connected) and it worked.
Ah k. PAtrickBatman had the same troubles. Nice to know you're back playing So, just don't use your TB with a HUB if you have troubles. Be careful hehe

just got mine, same problem, kmeaw 3.55, i had to update through recovery because it just said "you are on the current update" or whatever when i tried from xmb.
i think that worked because it installed, then restarted, no change in firmware name on xmb though, tried updating dongle to 2.5, no communication, unknown usb device.
i turned off ps3 and started it with tb put in and it lit up green finally, (relief) firmware shows 2.53 i believe, i will have to check to be sure but it was on true blue firmware atleast, didnt try any homebrew yet but i bet it works, still need to update the dongle though, going to try and install rebug true blue edition, will report back.
btw do not buy from lighttake, they ship even though you cancel order, don't respond in days, and won't refund you, the dhl guy was at my house with a second dongle today, i said no i wont accept it and will complain with paypal. I cancelled the order on both the site and through mail and they chose to ignore it..

i have the mails to prove it, and the paypal transactions.. they arent helpful at all.. their dropshipping support said airmail was faster than dhl lol..
all they said was "please accept it" lol. I want my money back, for both shipping and true blue usb :P
Uhm. I understand your anger, but as much i heard, everything will be fixed without any harm. Be positive, contact them again And wait an answer in a couple days

You gotta remove any usb device before load the update. Then plug your dongle just when prompted.
Do the updates from 2.2 growing slowly one by one. Program your ps3 with V2 before start.
At worst, use V1 and update with 2.2 , 2.3 , 2.4 then V2 and 2.5, if you didn't fix, ask a replace.

Sure hope so I haven't been refunded yet, a few days and i can escalate the ticket with paypal, would rather solve it with them though
