I've been doing some testing on the PS3. I was successful in dual booting the slim with E3 Flasher. This procedure requires you to update to latest firmware (4.00) and E3's True Blue no check firmware in order to alternate between the two. However, the true blue bongle no longer works if the PS3 bios is on 3.56+ wirmware. This means 3.55 consoles work, downgraded 3.56+ consoles work, but upgrading to a 3.56+ firmware and flashing a no system check firmware directly without downgrading with jig will operate the firmware but won't detect the dongle.
SO to clear things up. E3-DIY team states that yes you can use true blue on downgraded console, yes you can dual boot, BUT NO you can not use true blue in a dual boot configured console.
Yeah, it's me Dj Barth "One TrueBlue to rule them all, One Browser to find them,

Of course it's not gonna work. If I'm understanding you correctly, you are saying TB doesn't work on a 3.56+ firmware PS3? If so that's by design of course as it relies on custom firmware. E3 flasher in combination with TB is designed PURELY for you to downgrade to 3.55 so you can enjoy a hacked PS3. There's probably NEVER going to be a 3.56+ CFW as those higher firmwares have changed considerably. Well CFW that allows backup managers, etc, etc. Basically the CFW that we are accustomed to. Kakaratoks is making a 3.70+ "MFW" but it will only allow homebrew.

I wasn't sure what he meant; maybe that he flashed the true blue no check pup directly with the flasher instead of whatever the e3 provides and then the true blue firmware from xmb or FSM. What does he mean by "bios" (syscon or the firmware)?

Hello i have successfully got TB CFW V2 working on first HDD with true blue dongle light going green. The problem occurs when i turn off ps3 power flick e3 flasher switch to OFW and proceed to update my second HDD to OFW 4.00. The HDD updates fine and all is ok until i try to switch back to CFW HDD by turning off power and flicking switch to CFW and swapping HDD. The PS3 comes on for like 5 seconds black screen and turns off again. I have read that im suppost to reflash Downgrade.bin file with switch set on OFW, which iv done and then the CFW HDD will start ok and boot, but when this is done the true blue dongle no longer works the light just stayes red. Any ideas??
