Yesterday i found how PARAM.HIS & .HIP works, and today i made some examples, probably you like this one
And here is the file ---> http://www.sendspace.com/file/s5gh95
The .HIS is only usefull to paste it in an old install folder (consider pasting the file in your HDD is a cheat, is not how the system manages this files, but works as a preview)
The proper way to install this files is by packing a PARAM.HIP with the rest of the files in the root of a install.pkg, this way the system creates proper timestamps, and cummulates severall instalaltion changelogs in the same PARAM.HIS
Edit:
The changelog is copyed from the message with the last release posted by andreus, and the timestamp i used is "faked" to match the date/time when he posted the message in the forum
So under the right circumstances, the ps3 could natively support having games on /dev_usb000/. If that is so we need to find those circumstances.
If it is true the directory structure will likely be "/dev_usb000/PS3_TITLE_DATA/<title id>/" with the possible sub directory of "/C00/"
Actually I may be wrong about this, it seems after comparing how games are normally showed in the sprx files, it seems this just displays PS3 Title data in place of the title data the PS3 usually displays. But I have yet to find the circumstances under which the PS3 uses this data.
Though I have some ideas I which have just occurred to me, but I will have to try them later.
Also I am going to start creating a release for XMBM+ v0.11, for use across the various FWs which are currently supported. And hopefully in multiple languages too.

I was just wondering what happen, there seemed to be very little chatter/activity on this for a while. I'm really glad someone is still working on this. Is this being discussed in a chat somewhere ??
Will anyone be releasing a new Homebrew Channel update to this ?? (meaning an update to the XMBM+ in the TV cat)

Could you provide a copy of the homebrew chanel (category_tv.xml)
If it is been discussed in chat, it hasn't been with me.

Thanks for the reply, I just wanted to be sure I wasn't missing any educational chatter about this project.
It"s one of the few projects concerning code that I understand quite a bit of.
I'm no coder but I do know enough to figure out most of what has gone on so far.
So thanks for sharing all that you do.
EDIT: Oh, I should have mentioned, this category_tv.xml has already been modified by bitsbubba.
EDIT2: After taking a closer look at the XML file, if I just install the new XMBM+.pkg wouldn't this XML point to the same place the regular game_cat update would be installed anyway ??

yeah that was to make our pkg compatible in the TV Category, if we were to make some other dev_flash edits I would gladly update it. I haven't really had much time to work on anything atm, but seems as pshen and andreus are plugging away at it, I think aldostools still has his port XMBExtra going too!!

Thank you very much for the reply bitsbubba.
I'm interested in knowing the progress everyone has made with their different mods of this.
Ultimately, in the long run, I would like to tinker around with the XML's to better suit my needs as there are a few things I would change, but I really like the progress that has been made so far.
Okay the base for public version 0.11, no strike that I'm calling it version 0.20 of the XMB Manager Plus. So as I was saying the base is ready for
packaging and translating into other languages.
Planned change log from v0.11 beta2:
1/ Utilised New 'Settings' Subcategory adding the ability to download themes and other languages for the XMBM+ in the form of patch packages
(I have already devised as system for this)
2/removed development entries(obvoiusly)
3/The actual authors of the homebrew in the download homebrew part, replace "xxxx" in the info
4/Will use the up to date icon sets by CloneD
5/Support 4 languages from launch
I think the changes between 0.10 and the latest progress is enough to warrant the version label being v0.20.
What we need to decide:
1/Should we include a param.hip/param.his in this version?
EDIT: We can't include a PARAM.HIP, as installing theme and language patches will stuff it up.
2/What languages should we support? I plan to have the XMBM+ translated (from english) into French, German and Spanish. Do you think we should support any
more languages?
3/Has anyone else been working on something for the XMBM+ which we can include into version v0.20 right now?
If I do not get a response, I will go a head the release the way it currently is.

Good to see this activity again. I haven't had much time nor will have in the next month.

My last version is the public v0.11beta 2 that i released here
Go ahead ps3hen make the v0.20!!
Great, I have already included your improvements from 0.11beta 2 in 0.20. Can you translate these xml files to portuguese @andreus
REDACTED LINK
Thanks in advance
EDIT: There are some errors in the above link which I have flattened out for release, so if you see some bad linking in the "game_settings.xml" file, don't worry, I've fixed/optimised everything.
EDIT: I removed the link which was above. It was from a revision of v0.20 which differs to greatly to the current revision. For a more current revison see my post below.
