I want to hear some opinions about advertising. All the users that visit PS3SceneFiles know that I don't have a lot of advertising. Actually I have 1 only 1 banner sponsor centered at the top. But how do you guys think of more advertising? The site get's more popular each month according to the bandwidth that is getting used. For the stat's we've passed the 2 Terabyte (yes TERRAbyte, not Gigabyte) of data this month already. So i'm looking into generating some more revenue from the site, and I can do this in some ways:
1. More advertising
2. Ad-free subscription (so when you login you see no ads)
I hate this option, but I have to look at them all
3. Payed downloads (an x amoun't for a download or buy credit for 100 downloads)

Option 1 is probably most feasible as long as you don't go overboard. I hate websites with adverts EVERYWHERE. Maybe a combination of options 1 & 2 would be best?

Option 1 is the best, you have to login anyway to download files now and lets face it most people arent there to get on the forum etc just to get a file(s) so option 1 i think wouldnt really put any additional "strain" on the end user as long as you can still easily find the login/password boxes and popup ads arent happening, banners ok. I also kind of dislike video banners just eats up bandwidth.

I have no beef with you, and I never publicly posted that you have hacked PS3Scenefiles.com, but i've only made the assumption that you did. And i've made the assumption because:
1. In your post on PS3Hax you where saying you are going to hack more websites (but since the thread is deleted I cannot verify this)
2. Some users pmmed me that you and hellsing9 where talking about it, but I didn't check it myself.
3. You seem to know your stuff, and capable of doing it. (JB2USB example, no matter how you did it)
4. Hellsing9 and you and the never ending war against TB.
But then again I have no proof, and that's why I didn't post anything about it. I think without the post you made now only 2 or 3 people knew what happend. But like I said, no harm is done, and i have nothing against you.
* Site has now a fixed width instead of a 100% width stretching
* Changed cookie domain options, this should fix the login problems.
* Added checkbox for remembering login (should now remember you actually when you return within a certain time limit)
* Made some style changes, the breadcrumbs now display correctly without a stupid blackbox hovers, links now have an underline when you hover over them.
* Removed some useless styling options not used anymore in the CSS
* Different way to load the css (faster!)
* Site optimization on the database side.
* New CMS options (not visible for end users)
* Working on user reset password option
* Working on better search
* Working on a user file submit feature
* Removed Paypal (nodbody donated anyway)
It was a very heavy week for PS3SceneFiles (server) with all the leeching on PS3SceneFiles the 1GBit pipe wasn't enough to handle all the traffic. For a single server it was kinda heavy to handle all the downloaders at the same time. (over 1000 downloads an hour, and this may not much, but for a single server it is).
So I want to know from you guys, do you miss any features? Do you want to see things changed? And i'm looking for a redesign for PS3SceneFiles and I really like minimalistic light designs... if someone can make a mockup to give some inspiration I would be happy
