yea I've just straight ripped my dongle out 3 or 4 times just to see what would happen (PS3 just shuts down lol), but it still completely works
Yeah like i said earlier Ive tried everything except throwing it against the wall and submerging it in water.
Why would you unplug it 3 or 4 isnt one time enough? Were you trying to brick it? LOL
PS3 Slim w/ Rebug Rex 4.30.2, 500GB Internal, 1TB/3TB External; PS2 Fat McBoot w/ Hard Drive; Windows 7 x64 Ultimate
Last game finished: The Last of Us | Currently Playing: Metro Last Light
Is there a way to update/reset the USB via a pc as I can't update/reset the firmware for it on the ps3 as it doesn't recognise it.
Forget about it
As i suggested yet, i would repeat my best advice: Put some electric tape on the second half, at the end of your dongle. I suppose your asshole friend touching the dongle received a tiny electric shock. Dongle is dead for electrical failure, surely. Send it back to your reseller, if Lighttake they will send you a new one. Dunno about other resellers. Most could ignore you.
Yeah, it's me Dj Barth "One TrueBlue to rule them all, One Browser to find them,
One TB CFW to bring them all and in the Internal HDD bind them

Yep I bought my TB from Lightake, though it was back in December, so Im not sure the DOA will work.
If its true that the device bricked itself when it was removed when the ps3 was on, then its a temperamental piece of kit. So I think I might start calling it a 'she' lol
Are there any windows based dev tools that you can use to program the dongle yet?
thanks

yea my mate said that when he removed the dongle the ps3 just shut down. He shit himself as he thought the ps3 was bricked.
Interesting that you have down it a few times but your dongle still works! Did you have to do anything different to start it after it was removed? All I get is the dongle flashing red

Again? Forget about it. Do you read when people answer, or you will ask if a Mac tool is available now?
