I know what you mean. Only reason I have it right now is I paid up the year in advance. (thank god I hit a deal for 95 bucks.)

The best retention on Usenet at the moment is around 1500 days or just over 4 years.

I have always used astrawebs pre pay system (www.astraweb.com). They now have 1000gb for $50.

Also, http://xsusenet.com/ have a free 1mb service. Worth a try if you haven't used usenet before and want to have a look

I usually go with Astraweb as well, but I take their 3 month deal for $39. There are a ton of offers out there for 10 GB free accounts to try it out to see if you like it.

NZBMatrix (lifetime membership I got for like $9 or something) is setup much like a torrent tracker as far as categories go and i like SABnzbd for a client to download.
