Skyrim 1.4 aka 2.03 TB patch

Do you remember the guy who open a thread on this section, talking about a homemade update pkg? After analisys, we all agree didn't work. But today i would love to discuss a method posted on an other language from a guy, x0re , translated:

1 Be sure to use the Skyrim version BLES01330 ( BE sure to use a backup just for test , don't try with your working backup)

2 download patch 2.03 (EP1003-BLES01330_00-PATCH00000000203-A0203-V0100-PE)

3 Download TB Skyrim patch 1.02

4 Download a program for extract pkg content (x0re used ES35's PS3 ToolKit Official v2 )

5 Download a SFO editor

6 A TB dongle 2.5 , with V2 is needed.

Let's begin

1 Using SFO editor, change id from BLES01330 to BLUS30778, the same with game folder, from BLES01330 to BLUS30778

2 Install 1.02 TB patch pkg

3 Decompress 1.04 pkg and let's overwrite
SKYRIM - INTERFACE.BSA
SKYRIM - MISC.BSA
SKYRIM - SHADERS.BSA
UPDATE.BSA
UPDATE.ESM

inside the folder //dev_hdd0/game/BLUS30778/USRDIR/ (overwrite everything)

4 Try.

Seems stable. Beware, this trick seems working just with EUR version manipulated as follow. USA version doesn't work.

Ok so as Barth has mentioned I made the package and edited his tutorial a little to accomidate hope he don't mind (also wrote a little tutorial in the download):

3 Download TB Skyrim patch 2.03 HERE

4 Download a SFO editor (aldostools is best IMHO)

5 A TB dongle 2.5 , with V2 is needed.


Let's begin

1 Using SFO editor, change id from BLES01330 to BLUS30778, the same with game folder(changing name for game folder is not necessary as mine is named Skyrim)

2 Install 1.02 TB patch pkg

3 Install 2.03 TB patch pkg

4 Try.

where do you get the "test version" of skyrim from?

or do they just mean make an extra back up as it might not work?

EDIT: I've managed to copy the files. Didn't notice the savegame change tough. The version didn't changed on the game itseld, it still shows as version 1.2, as i suppose it's hardcoded on the game's eboot.bin, so...

Well, let's wait and see if there are major changes. Just one thing tough: there is a folder called BLUS30778CACHE. I also replaced that folder with the files

SKYRIM - INTERFACE.BSA
SKYRIM - MISC.BSA
SKYRIM - SHADERS.BSA

the other 2 weren't there, so i also replaced them on the normal BLUS30778 folder and the game booted.

Don't know what should i do to try and trigger the small save files and/or something that would make the game go slideshow.

Ok so now take a look. Do you see dragon flying normally? Saves works? Game works properly. no lag? If every question will answer yes, worked.

Uhm haha. C'mon, it's doable in a few minutes And you need manual edit of folder and param.sfo, btw. I'm testing.

Let me know if It works... i have BLU version but 1.02 patch is unplayable.... Lot of bugs..
