Now that there's a fix for those of us that have 3.55/3.41, is there a way to get this to work?
I've tried to convert a savegame that I have in my PC version to the PS3, it but it freezes when I press Square+Select. It doesn´t show any message of loading anything, just freezes and I have to reboot the console.
The current fix for 3.55/3.41 includes patching to 1.03 (and then replacing eboot with fixed one)
I would love to be able to play my PC character in the PS3...
if you are porting a pc 1.6 savefile to ps3, then the game will freeze and crash exactly as you describe
at this moment in time it is impossible to convert 1.6 save files to ps3 as 1.6 ps3 is not released.
i suggest you look at what your pc version is and go from there.
you may need to recreate the save on pc using 1.5 and trying again
or
you have incorrectly named the save file
its either
quicksave.ess (with cache enabled)
(NULL)QUICKSAVE.ESS (with cache disabled)

When you say 1.6/1.5 do you mean the game (skyrim) version or the tool version?
My PC Skyrim version is 1.1.21
I've tried with the 1.55 tool and the results are similar. In the 1.55 save tool looks like you can "patch" an existing "SKYRIM - INTERFACE.BSA" but if I do so with the file from the update the game doesn't start, blank screen.

Ok i had a look at your save file, and i can confirm there is no issues with your save files.
so this points back to your ps3
I would highly recommend deleting the Update data for skyrim
and trying again, the main point is the update data handles things slightly different.
when you do get it to load this way.....save it and quit,
then reinstall your update and continue like nothing ever happened.
If this does not fix it, as i am 99% sure it will
make sure you are using the unmodified SKYRIM.INI
if you are using the modified SKYRIM.INI with the cache disabled, you need to put the quicksave.ess in the same directory as the SKYRIM.INI BUT BUT BUT........you need to rename the INI to (NULL)QUICKSAVE.ESS

I'm from Russia and as most of russian speaking I have some problems with Skytim on PS3. The publisher translated voices for PC version only. There are original voices in PS3 version are, but we want to play with russian localization ^___^
I tried to copy SKYRIM - VOICES.BSA from the PC version, but the voices on PS3 dissapears at all. Maybe that's because the difficulties with unzipping .BSA folders? Does anyone have the program for unpacking .BSA for Skyrim on PS3? Share it please, and if it's not the reason, I will be very thankful if you could help me to solve the problem.
Ok i had a look at your save file, and i can confirm there is no issues with your save files.
so this points back to your ps3
I would highly recommend deleting the Update data for skyrim
and trying again, the main point is the update data handles things slightly different.
when you do get it to load this way.....save it and quit,
then reinstall your update and continue like nothing ever happened.
If this does not fix it, as i am 99% sure it will

I deleted the update, but I cannot really delete the update directory (/dev_hdd0/game/BLUS30778/USRDIR) because the fixed EBOOT.BIN that lets us CFW3.55/OFW3.41 users play skyrim goes in there. I've tried deleting the whole direcotry and replacing the EBOOT.BIN from the game itself with the fixed one, but then the game doesnt load. This makes sense as the fix is for the update, not the original EBOOT.BIN.
Is there a way to make it work with the update? Well, not really with the update, but loading it as the updated EBOOT.BIN does?

To get it to work you need the Russian voices in a BSA file
eg
SKYRIM - VOICES_RU.BSA is russia only
the SKYRIM - VOICES.BSA is english only
i have a copy of the SPANISH, FRENCH and ENGLISH , but i do not have a copy of the russian one.....
all you need to do is copy it from the russian version of skyrim for ps3

I'm currently on OFW 3.41 + USB Dongle.
I'm using the fix that appeared after the release of the 3.6 keys, which is composed of 2 patches:
UP1003-BLUS30778_00-PATCH00000000103-A0103-V0100-PE.pkg (I think this is the official patch)
UP1003-BLUS30778_00-SKYRIMPATCH00103.pkg (this is the fixed eboot)
I can skip the first patch, but the 2nd is the one that lets the game load (and the game loads fine).
The thing is Skyrim is 3.7x so I cannot reencrypt the original EBOOT.BIN. I don't really know how they (whoever who made the fix) did it, but they just fixed the EBOOT.BIN from the 1.03 update, so I guess I cannot delete it and rely on the original, as this eboot.bin is the only thing that lets me play the game.
On the other hand, the game loads fine with your interface and derektrotter's (I even see the custom loading screens and different typography in the game with Derektrotter's). One thing I didn't try is to quicksave (i'll try as soon as I finish this post).
As for the files, you'll see quicksaves and interfaces everywhere... just did it trying to do everything possible (i don't think it does any harm if the file is not supposed to be in a directory). All the interface instances you can see are a copy of the one that comes with the Skyrim Save Tool v1.6.
I havent yet given up on this, but is beginning to look bad

EDIT: I just tried the quicksave (square+start). It doesn't freeze and shows the "Quick saving..." message, but I can't find the file it generates (if it generates any file) and it doesn't generate a standard savegame, because if I go to the load save menu it's not there. I also tried to quickload after a quicksave, and same as always: game frozen.
I'm having another idea here: could you pass me a quicksave.ess of yours that you verified it works so I can try to load it? Just to absolutely discard that the problem lies in the savegame.
