I asked my RS Sales manager and he said that it will take 15 weeks to cover all backorders for raspberry pi by an email from UK. After that RS Uk will begin selling it retail via their distributors worldwide.
interesting ,i was thinking of building an auto pc for my e46 bmw, i wonder if this would be a good idea to use, and how well it could run ride runner or some other auto pc frontend
Not sure of any resellers there, but go with the openelec distro for RPi. Immensely easier to deal with. Done it on mine. Also, there's some tricks to get it to install with the whole card available. And some tweaks to be done to reduce CPU usage on the XBMC GUI. When you do get one, I'd be happy to help you out with any tips.
And my RPi is nicely powered by my TV's USB it's connected to. And CEC works great for no additional remote to be purchased.

That would be cool. If I got a problem, I will let you know. By the way, what is CEC stand for? :S

But it boils down to the RPi being controlled by your TV through the HDMI cable. Allowing you to use your TV's remote to control the RPi. XBMC has the required CEC libraries pre-installed to allow this with the RPi and other computers with the Pulse8 cec adapter.

Thanks for the link. I typed "what is CEC stand for?" in google and it shows HDMI on google search website as I didn't know that. Thanks for that, Bootlegninja.
I am looking forward to buying one so thanks a lot, Bootlegninja.
If you bought Raspberry Pi, how long did it take to shipped to your place? I am curious.

I'd ditch the PI and grab one of the Android mini PCs
Cost a bit more but worth it! They run Android obviously so you have all that stuff.. Linux is being ported to a lot of them.
Google Minix Neo X5 that's what I've got arriving in a few days.. same specs as my Galaxy S2.
There are even quad core ones for under $100
I'll be ditching my HTPC soon
Do you like anything to do with Android, Consoles, Retro Emulation, Coding/Hacking or just talking to ME http://techbliss.org
For every person that doesnt sign up, I club a baby fur seal!!
