I have a PS3 and have an RSOD after updating to 4.11. I've tried to repair it via recovery menu, replaced HDD, but no luck so far. Do you have any suggestion to repair it?
hardware flasher, and flash an earlier FW then update again... or send it off to sony, (I'll admit, I haven't kept up to date in fixing RSOD in forever.
Progskeet's a good bet, I don't own a flasher, never had the RSOD myself, nor a need for a flasher, but I have heard good things from Progskeet both for the support side and the actual hardware of it, I'm sure there's someone more qualified on these forums to take over from this point.
I've never had a console go for a shit on me luckily, so I have zero practice in any console repairs.
Okay, thanks for your suggestion and for your help. I'll check Progskeet, I hope there is a solderless solution and a complete tutorial.
Regards.
Yes, there is a solderless solution and a complete (extremely crude) tutorial, but I don't recommend going solderless. Mainly because the 360-clip has mount issues. You won't get valid dumps and you'll get headaches that aren't even worth the clip.
Progskeet is good for an all-around flasher.
Edit: Also, idk if the rsod fix will work since it doesn't skip hash checks AFAIK.
Edit2: I found that you can fix the RSOD without the fix pup using the link below. This is your only way besides using linux. This way is much easier.
How much I hate linking to this site, it has the need info. I'll just use a shortened link, it'll make me feel better lol http://goo.gl/HNMZ5
