This update loop ocassionally happens when you have a console with a faulty BD drive.
Those units need a special type uf firmware package, because the updater checks the BD drive, and if something's not working than it will fail..

I know that there is a NoBDcheck versio of kmeaw, but of TB CFW...? Anyone any info..?

Uhm, i like your theory, could be his problem.

In case, change your drive, pal.

Just a hunch, referring to infos I read earlier..
But If I'm right, then he/she will have a hard time with that.
If he changes the drive, he will have to remarry it. Otherwise it will work just as much as the old one..

I Don't think there is any NoBD Patched TB CFW out there..

About the BD drive remarry process, here you have some info:
    http://www.ps3devwiki.com/wiki/Remarry_Bluray_Drive

But it seems rather difficult to do it..

Go back to 3.55 , change completely your drive, remarry it, when everything works, go to TB CFW and you're done.

I too advise to do as Barth says.
    It's the only logical solution..

IF you are sure that you have a faulty BD drive that's causing the problem..
We only stated that this MAY BE because of it..but I Don't seem to remember you confirming that this is the case..

Forget the laser part. Change all the drive, if needed.
