Or (it's fun i know) noone has any barely idea who Tb Team is, and where money go. So Sony doesn't know who need to be sued. During the past sue campaign, if you remember Sony sued resellers and a target with a name, not "someone" who created a Tb dongle.
Having a good lawyer will still do you shit if Sony can still prove you wronged them. And even the best lawyers can't come within miles of Sony's army of lawsuits and money. No, TB just took the route of never being found TO be sued, because if they did get sued, they would lose, sure enough.
Prea is right, though, this fear of Sony is more of an excuse than anything. While I don't fault somebody so much for withholding a release, I at least want them to be honest. These hackers have tried to keep up the appearance of open source, so they won't release something without it. And that is one of the problems, because they do not want to release closed source so they don't release anything. That's like saying you have never lost at a (insert sport or competition here), while it may be true you have never lost, you have never won either or had the chance to lose. I do not think the problem stems from the open vs. closed source debate, that the issue was merely created to give them excuse to keep up appearance and stay the good guy. Here the bad guy is True Blue and indeed any closed source developer. "They're so evil, they released something without the source code. The good guys have never released something without source code."
But what about all of the things that were not released due to not wanting people to have the source code by the so called good guys? If TB is evil, where is the open source solution? Waiting for TB to release the source code? Or waiting for someone else to release it after cracking it? That's not the open source I know. The open source community I know create solutions, not wait for them. The open source community I know is known for superiority to closed source. Take Firefox for instance. Compared to the closed source Internet Explorer, Firefox is premium. Chrome as well since there is the open source Chromium that it is built from. Imagine if Firefox was never created because the developers waited for Microsoft to release the source code, or if they merely sought to create an open source version by cracking IE instead of building a superior browser from the ground up (well technically it was based on the Mozilla version, but a simple clone of IE it is not). The open source solution to TB is to get to studying and cracking either lvl 0 or eboots because if you're going to do something, you might as well do it right the first time. They'd leave the moral arguments at the door in favor of doing what they love. This wouldn't be a crusade. There is no reactions, only actions. They wouldn't hate TB, but welcome the competition (albeit they wouldn't be competing for money, but just to create the best solution, like a game), after all even closed source people innovate and can keep open source developers from getting rusty. Competition is about getting better than your opponent, not about making your opponent worse than you.
I know you're hoping to wake up some minds, and put together some genius hiding somewhere. It's a waste of time, bro. At best, we will see a Gravox post over Hax talking about their sniff of that clone.

Well considering I'm not even on unemployment, and a college student, anyone can afford TB. I got one and I'm shit broke. I can barely get me a pack of cigs every other day! SO NO EXCUSES!!! Lol :P.
@Bart - I don't think Sony really give a damn at this point. Otherwise they would have done something about TB. Sony hasn't done anything to TB. So the age old "WAHHHHH I'm scared of Sony." - is just bullshit. It's yet another excuse in a sea of excuses to justify not releasing things.
