    Paintown 3.6.0 Released

    Here is something I have not seen for a while. It seems an update of Paintown managed to slip through my fingers. This update covers the usual bug fixes, smoother pixels and added[PRBREAK][/PRBREAK] zip/seven zip support. Also note that those running 3.55 DEX can also enjoy this game.

    Changelog:
    All:
    • Added XBR and HQX scaling algorithms to smooth out pixels at higher window sizes
    • Can load data from .zip and .7z files
    Mugen:
    • Fixed many bugs
    • Projectiles work
    • Helpers work
    Gameplay video by manster.

    Hero City 2 v1.3

    Hero City 2 is an open world superhero game. You run and jump around punching monsters and robots and collecting things and in the process of doing so you upgrade your abilities and unlock new tasks. It's a massive step up from the first Hero City.

    There are some differences between this and the original Wii version. Most of which I hope to correct in future updates. But overall it's a pretty decent port. It runs at 60 frames per second in HD and looks exactly as it should.

    I think it's probably the best homebrew game on PS3 (though that's obviously subjective and I'm definitely biased). It's certainly the one I'm most proud of. So I hope you like it. Feedback is always appreciated.

    Controls:
    Left analog stick = controls the player
    Right analog stick = controls the camera
    L1 = left punch
    R1 = right punch
    X = jump (hold to charge up)
    Square = save
    Triangle = return to the title screen

    A new version for both the PS3 and Wii.

    ThatOtherDev is back with another update to his famous homebrew game, fixing a bug and changing the control setup.

    UFO Racer by ThatOtherDev is a homebrew game for the PS3 and Wii.

    The just released v3.4 fixes a bug with track saving and replaces the PS3 analog stick controls with Sixaxis motion controls.

    In this small update I’ve fixed a problem with track saving, replaced the PS3 analog stick controls with Sixaxis motion controls and the Wii version of course now features the most recent home dashboard menu.

    Now on PS3 you use the X button to accelerate, the circle button to go in reverse and you just tilt the controller to turn.

    Star Wars Doom - samson

    Hay guys I am back with my latest retro offerings and this ones a corker, its been sitting on my desktop for a good few months now so i used my 1000 post as a reason to get it finished and packed, created a long time ago in a scene far far away(back in the 90's).

    Star Wars Doom

    user70844_pic3948_1348014238.pngSTAR7.GIF

    Star Wars Doom 0.01.pkg

    I used prboom plus changing the game folder path and freedoom.iwad as a base and built up the star wars files found here and merged them into the iwad, i've also included the dark hour doom weapon pack in options/general just delete the 1 at the end, and restart.

    May not work on sd tvs just edit the .cfg in:
    dev_hdd0/game/HBDM90000/USRDIR/.prboom-plus/prboom-plus.cfg
    screen_resolution "1280x720" and change it to:
    screen_resolution "640x480"

    PS3 level list
    Level One - Princess Leia's Blockade Runner Decks One and Two
    Level Two - Princess Leia's Blockade Runner Decks Three and Four
    Level Three - Death Star Chasm and Technical Stations
    Level Four - Death Star Detention Level and Security Station
    Level Five - Tatooine Surface
    Level Six - Imperial Attack on Hoth
    Level Seven - Endor Surface
    Level Eight - Confrontation with Vader
    Level Nine - Hall of Legends
    Level Ten - Dagobah Surface ???
    Level Eleven- ????
    Level Twelve- ????
    Level Thirteen - CRASHES TO XMB

    if you want to cheat and skip levels hold R3 until the OSK comes up and click Page down, hold R3 again to reselect joystick.

    I know there is a few levels missing/mixed up but it does make a nice little game also it searches usb root for any other .iwad files, all credit go's out to the the old doom modders behind star wars doom, and Robo Hobo for prboom port.

    enjoy
