I recently got the updated TB dongle and i came from rebug 3.55.2 to TB cfw v2 , the dongle works fine and everything but , if i have another usb device in the usb slot while booting up the ps3, the video signal goes distorted and a screech like sound comes from the ps3 for a brief moment and then it boots up the ps3,
i know this isn't a major problem and i can just boot it first and then place the pen drive ,but am just worried if this is causing any other issues to the ps3, also the boot up time is a lot longer than normal as am guessing its the dongle checks but still wanted to confirm,
sounds like a hardware problem,i doubt its the flash drive because the have no moving parts to make a screeetching noise.
get your ps3 cleaned then try again.

I thought that was the problem but i just tested it again, it occurs only the first time i switch on the ps3, if i switch it off and then turn on again , it boots normally,
It sat idle for a few months until i got the TB dongle so its probably dust, i'll clean it now.
update : i checked it properly again , it only occurs once , that too when i shift from dvr to ps3 hdmi, the screen goes all green with an existing image in place n i hear the screeching sound....it doesn't occur next time, only when the ps3 is off for some time and then if i switch it on , it makes the sound.
It's normal, i have it too, and many others. Why, who knows. Let it be.
