Hello @ all, sadly i didn't found anything about my problem with a PS3Break TB2 dongle. I played a lot with custom TB firmwares to get the dual boot working and once the V2.7 Upgrade crashed and restarted my console. Since that moment, the led lights flashed red and green together everytime I puted the dongle to a USB port (PC Port and PS3 Port). I wasn't able to run the 2.7 update again or downgrade the dongle with Upgrade.exe. I didn't really find some post on this issue (flash red + green).
Some people said to run reinstall the complete firmware and than run the 2.7 again and other people said that the has poor contacts to the usb port and can be lifted on the end to work proper. other said use different ports and reboot again and again, bla bla bla
I tried everything with no luck, the dongle was still not accessible on the PC and PS3.
I was really pissed of to have a bricked dongle, because I don't want send it back from Germany to China.
So I opened the case from the f***ing dongle to see if something is broken, but I didn't found a problem.
So I tried several times to get the "STM Device in DFU Mode" listed in the device manager, but the stick was still not displayed and Upgrade.exe failed to start. Sometimes i could start Upgrade.exe Tool and load the downgrade files, but the upgrade button was grayed out.
By happiness I found a switch on the naked stick (see the picture) and tried following: PS3BreakTB2.jpg
Hold the button down while TB2 dongle is connected (blinking red + green) -> NO EFFECT
Try to push the button in different intervalls while TB2 dongle is connected (blinking red + green) -> NO EFFECT
Hold the button down while I insert the dongle -> THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME AFTER MANY MANY TEST TO CONNECT THE DONGLE WITHOUT STARTING EMMEDIATLY THE FLASHING RED + GREEN LEDS....
I still hold the button down and a few seconds later the dongle was shown as it should ("STM Device in DFU Mode")
Then I released the button and were able to downgrade the dongle with a lower Version. But the fight was not over, the TrueBlueUpdate-2.7.pkg on the ps3 failed again and i got the same problem again
So I connected the stick again with the siwtch option and updated it directly with the spitb27.dfu and upgrade_2.71.dfu without errors.
After this procedure my PS3Break TB2 will run togehter with the E3 Flasher in Dual Boot as expected..
