No Green Light With TB! Please Help

Hello everyone!
Today I received my TB dongle from Lightake.
as my PS3 is a old phat model I had to go to recovery mode and installed the TB V2 CFW. But in system info it showed as just "3.55". Then I inserted the TB dongle and started my PS3. The dongle shows a steady red light. It should show a green light after few mins but mine does not. I even tried to update the dongle but it says "Cant communicate with true Blue"
I just installed the TB V2 CFW again just to make sure I installed it correctly. But the red light never goes off. When I run Multiman it says BD EMU is not longer working. Thats means im off Kmeaw.
What should I do guys?
Shall I try the Rebug TB CFW?

Leave out the tb dongle run the dongle update once it asks for you to insert the dongle put it in and run the update once it's complete it will reboot and you will get a green light make sure you have latest dongle update... Try it in both usb slots on the ps3

I just did what you said but it gives me the error "Unable to communicate with True Blue"
It keep showing the steady red. I used the TrueBlue Update V2.7

Oh and I forgot,the first time I tried to update the dongle I had the controller connected to the PS3 via USB. So it means my dongle is bricked?

Even tho it's saying "Unable to communicate with True Blue" does the update process continue or not? I think if it's not then he is bricked to which i'am very sorry for you and all i can recommend is you contact the provider and request a replacement...

The process does not continue. The PS3 just reboots
Yes I just sent a mail to lightake support telling them my problem. Hopefully Ill get a replacement soon

Hey no problem, Just to be sure you did start up the ps3 without the dongle in right?

You just had the controller to USB and nothing else. Have you tried again to update dongle with NOTHING in usb and then insert dongle when it asks? I update my dongle all the time with a HUB connected i wouldnt think one ps3 controller plugged in would brick it, unless of course it was bricked from the start.

Thanks for your reply Pat but I think my dongle is bricked one from the beginning. I mailed lightake last night but still no reply. Does anyone here who received a replacement for a bricked TB dongle from lightake?

make sure your using the 2.7 update from TB when it tells you to "insert dongle now" insert the dongle and wait about 15 seconds before hitting the X to continue. I was having this problem yesterday when trying out different fws . If i pressed X immediately after inserting dongle it would hang for a second then say could not communicate. and black screen . but when I waited aprox 15 secs then pressed x it worked... I dunno worth a try if you havent already :0)

Guys when I checked Lightake they have stated that they shipped all items after 24/7 /2012 were with 2.7v update. In that case its not a surprise that I cant update it to 2.7v again.
When I try to boot my PS3 with the dongle inserted it just shows a steady red. Is there anyway I can reinstall a dongle update or I might have to wait till TB releases a new dongle update
