Lightake around first motnh of this year, have sent more message for out of stock, for resistance 3, after that disponibility return, and i think the last stock is bad.
i hope Jerry and LighTake, resolve this problem, with refund or resent, when a good copy coming.
If the disc do not work with V1 cfw and V2.3 patch maybe you guys really got defective BR discs, lightake is a reliable shop just ask our customer service for a replacement.

I tried the disc again using your recommendations (CFW v1 and 2.3 dongle update). The disc does not work - and I tried several methods of loading it as well:
-eject/insert repeatedly
-load legit ps3 disc/eject and then insert resistance 3
-load multiman and then insert resistance 3
-used multiman's BDreset2 to reset the BD drive
At this point, I am totally certain that I have a defective disc. I would either like my money back, or I would like to get what I paid for (a working copy of resistance 3).
Let me know how we will proceed from here.

Could also be a weak laser, R3 unlike every other TB disc is a dual layer disc and are harder to read then the normal single layer games. I have a PS3 that will not read my R3 game but it iwll read Batman AC TBDR. Though R3 works fine on my main system as I only stream with the other as I am afraid the optical drive will go out completely.

No no, false, i try this games on all PS3 i can access, (now 5/6)and no one read disk.
No excuse, this is a bad copy.

Same here, I only know 2 other people with CFW PS3s (And I set them up for them )
yeah even my friends with ps3's either are too scared of using CFW or they cant cause they're on latest firmware.

Yes i have 3 Ps3 2 with custom and TB and one original(and i think if copy is good, at least the disc should appear on the XMB, then obviously not starting on original ps3)!
