DeanK has been nice enough to resign the EBOOT for me and now it needs testing on Rogero 4.30 again
I have tested it on 4.21 REX and it works fine and it should work on all firmwares
Sorry for being a little late with this, package installs fine on 3.40 OFW. Kudos to Pete for compiling a working package...eventually.
Just out of curiosity, what was the problem?
And is there a way to combine the MP3s back into a ISO/BIN? (ISOs now work)
I forgot to change the SYS_PROC_PARAM on the cores, So the EBOOT would run, but then error out trying to load the core.
Also, It seems that SCETOOL doesn't sign correctly for 4.30. So Dean signed it using his own tool
Sorry, I can't help with the ISO/MP3 merging though.

How does PS1 work? (Yes, I know it won't run full-speed - I'm just curious.) I have a CUE/BIN that
runs fine with PS3 Mednafen (other than the speed issue). I have the scph1001.bin in the /system
folder. The BIN doesn't show in the file browser, just the CUE, which is as follows...
FILE "disruptor.bin" BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE1/2352
INDEX 01 00:00:00
It just returns to the XMB, no error message, from both the HDD and a flash drive. What's wrong? I do realize that this RetroArch version is still technically a beta. I also noticed that PS3 Mednafen does have a dynarec that runs at about 30-35 FPS. I'm not a programmer, but it would seem to me that anybody looking at coding a dynarec might want to look at this and try to improve on it.
Why exactly did they include a PS1 emu with the PS3 port, knowing that it wouldn't run full-speed?
Were they bored? Or maybe there's a breakthrough on the horizon? Not to get anybody's hope up (it
happened before here with N64)...
The BIN wont show as a the CUE is what is needed to be selected to boot. (so its normal for no BIN to show)
PS3 mednafen does not have a dynarec that runs on current CFW or even 3.55 for that matter. now 3.41 from my understanding does have a dynarec but we do not on current CFWs.

Well it was included and created by RetroArch developers because RA runs on many other platforms and the genius of RA is that once ported to libretro it is easily ported to other devices/systems, easily in most cases.
Also it will be all ready for when a dynarec is ported/developed on current CFWs. (when and if that happens)
I think my info is correct above

Square asked me to include the PSX core, so everyone could see how bad the performance is without a dynarec.
The problem is not that we haven't got PPC64 dynarecs (PS3SX has got one), It's that we haven't got a firmware available at the moment with the required patches.
Also, Square has said to think of Mednafen-PSX like bSNES. In other words, It is not the fastest emulator as it is very accurate and has high processor requirements.
