Hey guys, I got a save game file for Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 that I found on gamefaqs, well I wanna try it out but I can't get it to work on my machine. It keeps giving me various errors when trying to use the save on my account. (such as it's corrupted when I replace the param.sfo in the file with my own, it's not my save, etc.) So I figured the easiest way was to go to rebug and use Fake save data owner.
So unless of course someone can give me a way to fix this save so I don't have to switch FW's, what's the best way way to go to REBUG from the latest version of TB?
PS: The save file does have param.PFD but I seen people on PS3iso uploading saves THAT worked with param.PFD in them.
PPS: And no I'm not permanently switching. I just wanna mess around with this save file before I start a new save on my own.

The fastest way to switch between permanently, would to have QA extra flagged your ps3 and use
System Update Debug. That way you have the update pups you want right on the HDD.
I personally have TBv2, Kmeaw, Rebug and OFW on mine.
By the way. Fake save data owner is not good. Once you set it and then use
a different firmware (ie, TBv2) ALL your saves will say that they belong to different user..
Um no I just want to go the standard way. So do I flash back to OFW first or go straight to REBUG?
Also that's fine. It's not like I'm gonna permanently use the save file. I plan on backing up all my saves. (BTW I did read about all this. :P.)
EDIT: As I said I simply wanna test this save out and have a bit of fun with everything unlocked. once I'm done, I'm gonna go back to TB and start my legit save. (on like chapter three or so.)

I installed Rebug OtherOS++ and QA Flag Extra
then followed this:
Enable QA Flag Extra and go to the Rebug debug settings and enable "System Update Debug"
then use Multiman's file manager(or other) and create a folder in /dev_hdd0 called "updater",
so it's /dev_hdd0/updater/ then create folders in that directory for the number of firmwares you want to store; called 01, 02, 03, ect.(Dont miss a number or it will error).
Now copy whichever PS3UPDAT.PUP u want into one of those folders and........ Rename it to whatever you want, you dont even need the .PUP at the end.
Now go to System Update then Update via Hard Disk

Now this guide still doesn't work with some early phat's right? I still am getting the " Latest update " error ........ really don't want to do the recovery method everytime .....
Ahhh come on .. can someone at least confirm there is no fix for this ?
