ProgSkeet: Solderless Video Released And More Updates
Well people have been bugging @uf6667 for a video, so he made a short one, and we converted and uploaded it to Youtube!
He also posted right here on PS3Crunch, the reason for this short video, it showcases the first stage of the upcoming SOLDERLESSFlexPCB/Clip setup:

no, this time around we have the SOLDERLESS CLIP attached to the NAND.
sure, it has wires soldered to it but this is just because there is flex pcb yet to connect to progskeet
once it's all tested and flex pcb is designed, this will be 100% solderless
He also tweeted the wrong diagram was released for the Dual-NAND setup, so we attached the right one below with the new updated software!
DIAGRAM Changes:
03/08/2011
- Removed DualNandNew.bmp (this is for prototype, sorry)
- Added Dual NAND diagram (with the switch), read below for instructions.
02/08/2011
- Added new NAND/Dual NAND diagram. Power up the console with the switch set to "off". When the console is on, you can switch it to "on".
FLASHER Changes:
110802
- Added more selections to Block Count (bigger NANDs)
110803
- Fixed: issue with "Test Shorts" - ONLY USE THIS WHEN PROGSKEET IS NOT CONNECTED TO ANY DEVICE!!! OTHERWISE IT GIVES FALSE POSITIVE!!!
yours truly,

Reason: Thread Title Change, to make clear regarding Solderless Part!

lol so i'm confused what exactly does this do other than make any ps3 downgrade-able? is it like a mod chip or perhaps the first steps towards one ? or could we simply...with time make our own nand that could do whatever we want.
Total n00bs banned=IT'S OVER 9000! ZERO! Tolerance Against BullShit DRAMA!!! Follow me on twitter @Dangwoot I might say something cool Yep I'm A Dick

For now, it will allow people to downgrade, or repair bricked PS3's.
But over time, as more work is done or if the bootloader is exploited, we could use it to flash a newer CFW that is much better then what we have now.
Besides that the ProgSkeet is open-source, universal, it can basically handle any Flashing needs, even 360 work, or other future next-gen consoles, it has tons of uses, can even flash custom code in those fancy onboard computers found in cars we can't afford at the moment.
So what? No one is trying to hide this. The device is advertised as universal, there is no magic in dumping PS3 memory, it has been done countless time before and Progskeet works great with it for sure.
This is just to showcase a prototype of solderless solution.
