Need help [How get onlin on 3.55 CFW for First time]
hi guys ,
I'm newbie at anything related to online on ps3 3.55 cfw keamw.
if anyone expert may give me from his time a little , I'll be grateful to him.
First
1-how block or prevent my ps3 from update when i connect it to internet, is there anything i can do to make sure and definite that my 3.55 cfw never update to higher 4.xx fw ?
[ Because if does and update i may throw my self from window ]
2- how prevent my ps3 either from getting ban, what i should beware to make sure that i don't get banned.
3-I've heard that F*ckPSN still work and let me access psn, is it save ? that you not get banned ?! any tutorial for newbie ...
1: There are spoofers out from Rebug (Rebug.me) (you just install the PKG file (Make sure to get the one made for you CFW (I think the latest rebug CFW comes with the spoofer installed... (If you have the Trueblue dongle, the latest Dongle update 2.7 also has this implemented (You dont need to do anything).... The spoofer helps prevent updating, as it says your ps3 is on the latest firmware, but it isnt) Basically if you try play a game that needs to be updated before playing, it just wont run (So cant update) and usually give a black screen. Another good thing to do when you copy a game to your HDD, delete the update folder that comes with it in the main directory...
2: Theres not much you can do to prevent yourself from getting banned... Its a risk every1 takes when logging onto PSN...
3: I still use fckPSn 7.0b and works flawlessly, sorry cant think of a link at this time for a tutorial... But its all over the net, so google fckpsn 7.0b tutorial...
It can be a mission to get working though, as some people have come across...

let me get it correctly, so when you spoof the system ...the system setting about in ps3 appear to be 4.11, so in that way system not update ..
but what if like today i was on 4.11 spoof and Sony just release 4.20 .. does system update automatically [Even i turn off automatic downloads in ps3 setting ]...
since I'm on kmeaw not rebug so what spoofer i should download .. ?
BTW i found something intersting in psx-scene
member called Nightbird made a spoof and psn enable , since i'm still new i can't try it and handl the risk ...but anyone think it safe please tell me >>> i will quote it

PSN Enabler and spoof to v4.20 For Kmeaw CFW
Here is a PSN enabler and disabler I've made which also spoofs to Firmware v4.20. This is only for Kmeaw users. I've made one for Rebug FW too but I haven't tested it yet. I have used Rebug's spoofer files and Nathanr's tools, so thanks to them. Make sure you are unspoofed (3.55) before running the enabler. The disabler restores the original Kmeaw files and returns to v3.55. I have also used a reactpsn compatible vsh.self in the disabler so it doesn't screw anybody up that uses reactpsn. For those that don't use reactpsn, you won't notice anyway.
To enable PSN and spoof to v4.20, run the enabler, the screen will go black for about 15 secs, PS3 will then restart, your pad will have disconnected too so press the PS button. You can now check your firmware version in system info, it should say 'version 4.20' and you should now be able to connect to PSN. To disable and return to v3.55, just run the disabler, screen goes black again and PS3 restarts.
I can't see this lasting long, as it looks like Sony are currently only checking the firmware version above and beyond what Rebug have already done.

Since that just came out yesterday, I cant say anything about it... but no doubt it sounds like the best thing you can get right at this moment
I dont see the PSN side of things lasting, but atleast the spoofer "might" work
I say might, because I dont know much about the uploader and it just came out yesterday... It sounds legit from the comments after that post though...
