I'm getting frustated, my Dongle 2.7 pkg didn't work (black screen) please help me

I have fat PS3 old series which had 4 usb slot on it with ps2 backward compability. I have been using Official Firmware (OFW) 3.55 , to play my games from hardisk internal (around 720 gb or something).
I decided to buy true blue dongle. I followed step by step instruction as how to install it, I downloaded PS3UPDAT.PUP (TrueBlue-3.55-CFW-v2) from the official site
truebluejb2 along with true blue update 2.7 pkg.
I put PS3UPDAT.PUP in my flashdisk within PS3/UPDATE folder that I created. I put my flashdisk to my PS3 usb slot , and I went to system update--update via storage media , and it shows 3.55-dongle update, and I updated it. After I finished updating it, I took a quick peek at system information--system software , it still say
(Version 3.55) , its NOT 3.55-dongle or something like that.

And then, I took the next step to install dongle 2.7 pkg because I thought I haven't finished yet so thats why my firmware version still 3.55 (NOT 3.55-dongle-something) , i put my dongle 2.7 pkg in my flashdisk, I put it to my ps3 , I installed it.
The guide says that , I shouldn't place my true blue usb to my ps3 unless I clicked dongle 2.7 pkg and waiting for the instruction to "please insert true blue dongle" to do so. I did that, after I installed 2.7 dongle pkg , I ran it (at this point I still did NOT insert my true blue usb to my ps3), but what happened next was the screen is just complete black , and suddenly my ps3 frozen. So I can't make it shows "please insert true blue usb" or something like that. It just went black screen.

At the point, I am getting nowhere, I did not what I should do, I decided to try a few things:
    1. I kept re-installing the 3.55-dongle from update via storage , but everytime it says "you already installed the latest version" or something like that.
    2. I uninstall / installing dongle 2.7 pkg again, but the screen still turn black after I ran it
    3. I decided to insert my true blue usb to my ps3 when my console turned off, and by doing that I was hoping when I ran dongle 2.7 again, it would work, but no, it still turned black and frozen. The firmware still stay version 3.55 .

So guys, what should I do to fix my problem here? I searched some other similar topic like this, but i think nobody got the exact same issue that I got here.
I would appreciate noob friendly step-by-step answer here, thanks before.

Have you tried downloading the Dongle update from a different source?

I think you should try installing the CFW through Recovery Mode first.

    No problems dude
Some systems won't let you really update your system to the same FW, that's why you need recovery mode.

    Glad it helped.
