untouched PS3 with kmeaw, what to do?

Hi everyone,

I got jailbreak and Kmeaw on my console when the hacks where just released. But haven't done much with it since. It's a european FAT 60 gig launch model (ps2 b/c), CECH03.
I was just wondering what developments there were since then? I wanna start using it again, but not sure which homebrew I need to get on there.

First of all, is the firmware still okay? Or is there something better available?

Secondly, I need to know how to play original games later than 3.55?

If I get these two steps done, I think it's pretty much straight forward, like installing Showtime, Multiman, ... (any other good stuff I missed?) Or is there some other major step that needs to be done first?

Links to tutorials are very welcome, I just don't know where to look first...

You will need a true blue to play 3.56+ games... also, I would wait a bit since there is supposed to be a new dongle out.

Also for originals? Wasn't there some kind of spoof to bypass the firmware check?

You can also play 3.56 game but need a modded eboot, you get them online or make them yourself with ebootMOD program (by deank multiman developer) get multiman homebrew to play backups. To play anything higher than 3.56 you need a patched eboot (which there arent many) or DUPLEX/extremall release like you can play a few 3.60+ games without the True Blue dongle mentioned like LA Noire, Brink, FIFA 12, Fifa street, Ninja Gaiden 3, Uncharted 3, Alice madness returns, driver SF, child of eden to name a few.

Spoofers on Kmeaw are pretty usless now unless you use rebug firmware to get on PSN (which could be blocked again anyday now).

I'm not interested in buying a dongle, probably going to go back to stock FW then...

download OFW 3.55 from the internet you mean? And then install from usb?

Do you know a link to download OFW 3.55 with MD5 sum?

There are quite a few games available for 3.55 though where you dont need the dongle to play 3.6+ games...

Once you've installed 3.55OFW, then you might want to update the console from there.

I think I might sell it instead of upgrading, maybe someone will get more fun out of it.

What do you think this one is worth? I have someone who is willing to pay € 150, but I was expecting a little more?
