    PSN game icon on xmb

Hope you can help me out.

I have the pkg for Midnight Club which is about 5 gigs. So i cant put it on a usb stick
I have TB CFW and i have used pkgview to extract the game and allow me to put the game on the internal HDD.

What i need is for the game icon to show up on the xmb?
Iv looked for info and have had little luck.
Could you point me into the right direction?

    Thanks

The only thing i can think of is the file structure...
    Is it like this
    dev_hddo\game\GAMEID\PS3_GAME\USRDIR
    or
    dev_hddo\game\GAMEID\USRDIR

Im not at my ps3, but it could also be like this...
dev_hddo\game\GAMEID\ - everything in the USRDIR in here

I might be wrong on this but its not the file structure that is the problem. PSN games when installed, parts are put into the correct place automatically.
Sense the game is FTP'ed to the HDD, the icon is not set. So it does not show up.

The game was already fixed and did not have a patch/pkg. If i could find a small pkg for the game the icon would show up and fix my problem.

@MrRaider, not sure what you've done. If you've extracted the pkg and FTP'ed that onto your PS3 HDD, I'm not too sure what that might result in however, the proper way to 'load' a +4GB pkg is either to FTP the pkg (unextracted), onto the PS3 HDD and then (using MM file manager), double click on the pkg. It will then appear in the install pkg directory on the XMB and allow you to install as usual.

Otherwise, use one of the many file splitters available for the PS3, split the pkg and then (again using MM file manager), copy the split files onto the PS3 HDD. I prefer to create a temporary directory called /packages and put the files into that. You then (as above), double click on the pkg (or largest of the displayed split files), and go to the xmb and install as usual. When the program is installed just go back to the /packages directory and either delete it all or just the contents to save HDD space.
When it comes to usenet I prefer to apply the first two rules of fight club. Usenet? What usenet?

I usually do this for big games from PSN
I copy everything to the HDD, then I create a small pkg with the necessary to install.
Install this: Midnight Club LA [Minimal Install] (18.89 MB)
