bitsbubba's Modified Lv2 Patcher (another 'noob-friendly tool')
Also, in case you did not know, bitsbubba has also released a modified version of kmeaw's Lv2 Patcher with blu-ray region changing options, as well as all the current patches.
We have users trying out CFW for the first time! Some have not known how easy it is
Instructions aka 1-2-3 CINAVIA FIX FW (for OFW 3.55 PS3):
1. Format USB device FAT32
2. Place PS3UPDAT.PUP in x:/PS3/UPDATE
3. Install via XMB
NOTE: If you are not on OFW 3.55, please download and install that first, the same way you would install NFW. You can download it here.
well great job bitsbubba kmeaw and all those firmwares are outdated, this firmwares made with ps3mfwbuilder is so much better.
in his defense Djoe45's latest CFW was also put together with PS3MFW Builder (he stopped using KMEAW CFW as a base) And what not everybody knows the team over at PS3MFW and glevland have added memory patches and application patches that you can't get from the outdated KMEAW CFW
exactly that is why i said that, not using ps3mfwbuilder is dumb when you have such a great apps that lets you create a great firmware with minimal effort, i am always using it to patch rebug firmware with new stuff
I'm in the process of adding new links as I found a minor bug (all fixed re-uploading all now)! I'm also hoping to get the app pack (apps edited to install to "The Homebrew Channel" uploaded today!
