btw. you can also use memtool, flashdump.pkg or flashdump feature of MM to create a valid NOR backup ..
The only thing you need the flasher for is in case you brick (which is highly unlikely if the dex output is valid)
Don't you need a flasher to write the dump back?

So, we don't need to have a flasher, we can use flashdump and then follow the other steps. Right?
Can we install Multiman for DEX on a converted CEX?

No, if my memory serves me well!
Also, you can install multiMAN/mmCM for DEX on a converted DEX system!

If you have linux installed, you can flash from there. I don't recall there ever being a app that'll write to the flash from coreos.
Aside from that, you'd need a flasher, but this doesn't need a flasher. A flasher would just be a fail-safe for this, if I'm reading correctly.

I would imagine, if they released a package to dump the NOR in all of it's glory, they have release a package to write it all back, but then again I am no expert just using some common sense here.

Good question - that depends on the developer as to whether he/she has someone who can help out with the NAND Flash patching process (or if s/he has a NAND unit at the ready).

Wow, thank you for the explaination!
Just one question, can we use an homebrew to perform the RAM dump or we need a flasher?
