i have/had:
System version : 3.55 CW [sc -8 | Hermes]
Multiman: 4.02
today i wanted to play a TB patched game (the Batman Arkham City) so decided to follow the TB guide on this forum without any knowledge what im actually doing. i thought all i need is to download the patched "update". well now my system version is 3.70
yes, im a noob and apparently asking for the confirmation that im an idiot (and girl) too.
so what ive done:
first off i followed this http://www.ps3crunch.net/forum/archi...hp/t-2470.html but when i downloaded the "TrueBlue-3.55-CFW-2.ZIP" from this site and sucessfully installed it, then i couldnt open Multiman anymore becos of the "an error occured during the start operation. 80010017" message. so i checked the system version and here i am.
so yeah, the 3.55 cw is forever gone, right? i guess i cant get it back without the TB dongle (which i dont have).
Just install back 3.55 OFW or 3.55 Kmeaw check if you still have "Install package files" and "App Home PS3" if so your system is still on 3.55
If you updated from "batman system update" then you screw up everything, why the hell would you want to play a TB game without the dongle?? It would never work...
no, i didnt update anything from the the batman system update. just did the TrueBlue-3.55-CFW-2.ZIP thing through the recovery menu. now it wont let me install 3.55 ofw back becos the storage media cant see the file anymore. and when im trying to install 3.55 kmeaw back (tried two different sources) it gives me an error that "data is corrupted" during the installation. guess it is becos now it blocks jailbreaking, right?
and yes, it was total bullshit to do something like that without the dongle. but if i had it in my hands, i still dont understand how could the system update from 3.55 to 3.70 just via the TB cfw from this site??
Arkham City uses 3.70 firmware at some point the Batman update prolly updated it. This is where you say I dont have the Arkham City disc or have never put it in.

well i am not able to do it via recovery either. it says something about 3.70 in the beginning and then calls the 3.55 ofw file as "the data corrupted (8002f2c5)". in the storage media it says no applicable update was found. i swear i didnt do any update via any game or anything after the TB installation.
so i just dont get. why does it include the 3.70 upgrade? i know it was my fault to try something like that without the dongle, but now it seems like i can be happy i dont have the dongle, cos it would never work for me anyway? i never had any problem with 3.55 cfw

don't suppose it's just spoofed? (sorry, don't know about tb)
did you have a game disc in the drive (not good) or connected to online when start game first time?
So you installed TB CFW without even having the dongle, why? Regardless however it shouldnt update your system to 3.70 what was the link you got the TB CFW? Don't say on here because you can't get it on here (anymore) you've had to go to an external source (hopefully ps3scenefiles)
PS I just find it odd it picked 3.70 OFW to update to which is exactly what Arkham City uses.

i never was online but there was a game disc in the drive (not Arkham city), thats true. but i wasnt able to play any back up games without different disc in, so thats why. havent found any warning about this still the Arkham city was never played becos it didnt work, so thats really odd. but i guess i get it now, just still wonder how does the TB zip thing from here work when games like Arkham city updates the system automatically.
but thank ya all for the help. i can sleep now.

well i got it from http://ex-scene.com/jb2_cfw/TrueBlue-3.55-CFW-v2.zip as the TB F.A.Q on here linked me. and yeah, me stupid just didnt realize what the dongle really is. i just thought its about the software update only or something. now i know. but its just too late.
Well i downloaded from that link and compared the checksums of my TB cfw and the one you have and there the same, so that file you have is in fact TB CFW v2.
