ohh.. YLOD is bad, if you need help working with the YLOD i think in the #ps3downgrade irc channel they can help.
I never had a YLOD, don't even know how to repair.

You have only entered FSM and exit while on DEX fw and it bricked with a YLOD or have you done something in FSM?
QA-Flagging doesnt work in DEX.. also it is not possible if you are in FSM (CEX or DEX is than not the point) i know how to do it if in CEX.. no problem...
but if youre flash is patched for DEX noway..
the YLOD:
- have sucessfully converted to DEX / installed Rogero DEX 3.55 v2 / No other DEX installed
- playing a little bit with the leaked targetmanager and the debug outputs... nice tool btw
- want to go back to cex...interesting in the way and if i get it running... also want to have blueray-movie back...
- used this way:
- in DEX 3.55 XMB Shutdown the PS3 / Entering FSM with JIG / flashed back my ori-cex-flash-file with jaicrab preloader 3.1
- the PS3 shuts down after flashing is cpmplete / Turn it on / FSM comes up checked if there are the "Debug Settings" no they are away.. seems good...
- tried installing CEX-Fw 3.55 with FSM-XMB -> error
- used the Lv2diag.self from ps3devwiki to install the cex-fw / PS3 shuts down / checked Log on usb-stick all ok
- put the FSM-Exit-File on USB-Stick (the one for 3.55) / put it in / PS3 starts and shuts down..
- Turn on PS3 -> YLOD
i think the syscon checks the backup-NAND on the FAT and that is why it YLOD.. maybe this could work on NOR-PS3...
btw... i have a guy with a progskeet who fixes the YLOD for me :-)
I have tried the DEX>CEX tutorial. However I turned off the console... brick. However, the brick is different: the green light appear, but it disapear and donīt appear any light. I have a dongle (PS3braeak v1.2), but I canīt put in FSM.

2. Turn on with 3.55 DEX OFW
3. Flash CEX.EID0.NORBIN in multiman CEX
4. Turn off
5. Turn on and flash 3.55 CEX OFW trough XMB

One interresting note is that before the brick i manage to do a DEX2CEX conversion (the first one) and only at the second one DEX2CEX converison i bricked.

- which PS3-Model? (NOR or NAND)
- give it beeps? how many beeps?
if no FSM is possible with JIG (you must try multiple times) than you have ti fix with hardware-flasher.. think there is no other way then...
it could be a GLOD (Green Light of Death) dont know if it is fixable.. Hope you got your ori-flash-backup.. without it is permanent brick..

you cant dehash if you are on DEX... this only works if you are on CEX... you have to do before the conversion...
didnt help the guys which are on DEX and wanna go back...
maybe you dont have to flash back the CEX-Flash...
i have seen some special PUP-Files for going back to CEX3.55 from 3.55DEX but no tutorial how to use and what to do... cant test cause PS3 is bricked.. and will not test anymore with the FAT-Lady...
i think there are ppl who knows a safe way... either there are not in this forum... or dont wanna share the info.. cause it could be used by sony or so...
PS3-model is NOR. It gives one beep and after the green light disappear, but I think that the console is turned on.
I will try JIG multiple times and after the hardware-flasher. But can you confirm that ps3break works?

I don't own a nand ps3 but I checked your steps and I can't see any obvious reason why you got a YLOD,
But in this step what firmware exactly did you install

after flashing the CEX EID0.NORBIN in Multiman CEX, i didn't shutdown the ps3 but
