It gives that error sometimes. Just start the script again until it works:

sudo sh ./run.sh

It will work eventually.

   10. Quit to Shell and execute create_hdd_region.sh from your USB:
	   /var/tmp/petitboot/mnt/sda1/create_hdd_region.sh
       or  /var/tmp/petitboot/mnt/sdb1/create_hdd_region.sh

alright figured out why it said it was missing, it was installed on the computer as openssl 32, as soon as I deleted the 32 part in the dir it worked.so just a heads up if anyone else gets that problem.

when I clicked my 355DEXEID0.NORBIN it says do I want to do this? I say yes

but it also goes on to say that I am about to change my region code. so I am guessing thats not supposed to happen?

TargetID/RegionCode is one and the same. DEX target/region is 82.

You're good to go. 0x84 is USA RETAIL PS3, 0x82 is DEBUG/DEX.
