Mine was 84 to 82, I didn't change region and THAT, that you pointed out above IS NOT in the tutorials I have and I have read and kept up with all 29 pages of this thread and I THOUGHT I had updated the tut every time DeanK changed the links and/or every time someone made a change, I don't know how I missed that. THANK YOU, andreus.

EDIT: YUP, I just bricked to with the 8 beeps and same shit you all had.

well i really believe is only problem with the region, as i followed deank tutorial, that went smoothly, when using c2d i changed my original flash from 85 to 82, Dex went well, update to 4.1x, downgrade again to dex 3.55.
after that i changed to original dump, that mean 82 to 85 ( multiman issues us about that every time we change ) , after the first shutdown sequence the ps3 didnt boot up anymore.
since i was able to restore my ps3, i can say that the problem is not in the flash but in the firmware, as the lv2diag.self with original ps3 firmware 3.55 fixed the problem, the main issue was to find some lv2diag.self that bypass some checks, found that in ps3wiki.
after that i did run the lv2diag to get out of service mode and console is up and running.
So Flash is ok, problem was really the firmware, and im pointing to the region change.

maybe we cant use Dex 3.55 with region besides 82.
btw i ask the dev this question, especially Deank since is the tutorial from him, why did we run c2d orignal eid0 converted 82 - ( is 82 mandatory or is where your region belongs to )

82 is DEX all others are area regions of CEX

So I may be able to get it going with a lv2diag.self and OFW 3.55 using the Teensy I jailbroke it with correct ?? and would you be so kind as to upload the lv2diag for me please ?

to resume all i did to fix the problem, i guess there´s no need for a tutorial since i tryed every shit i could

    stuff that you need
dongle to go to factory mode ( used E3 Card Reader )
USB Flash Pen ( help if it have led status to check if its working and ps3 is doing his stuff )
alot of PUP - Tryied 3.41 modified , Dex 3.55 Downgrade, Kmeaw 3.55, and original PS3 3.55 ( thi one that gave the result ok )

Format USB PEn and put lv2diag.self file 1, check ps3wiki i posted before, download the one that is green, also put PS3UPDAT.PUP in the root of the PEN
LV2diag.self and PS3UPDAT.PUP must be in the root of the usb pen ( format it to fat 32 )
switch off ps3 from power cord
put Dongle with service mode payload in the right usb port ( next to BD/power ubtton/eject button )
put power cord in the console and press power button followed with eject, the console should boot, and then reboot without any beeps that we have with the brick )
remove service dongle and in the right usb port ( next to BD...) put the usb pen already formated to fat32 and with the 2 files inside.
if all went well you shall see the ps3 reading stuff in the usb pen, and the hard drive of ps3 working, wait for the console to power off.
at this point you can power again and check if the console boot up and its inside factory mode ( red square box in the bottom left of the screen )
all you need now is to blank usb pen and put the lv2diag.self in the usb pen, power off ps3, put usb in the right port with the file already on it, and do a power up procedure,
the console will power off automaticly.
power again and get unicorn, lolz.

i will buy a dongle and them try it too.
Thanks to tul for figuring this out! I was ready to buy a flasher lol. Now will buy just a dongle.

@deank, this risk that happens on DEX to CEX with region change should be in the tutorial for people to know it. Please, update your tutorial when you can.

I can't seem to find the right hex payload or something...my ps3 just beeps and beeps and beeps. I did make a nor dump and backed everything up before I did this so unless I find the right payload I'll be buying a flasher. No sense in buying a dongle for a few dollars more you could buy a flasher and be done with it. Then again I might just throw the thing in the garbage and get on with my life. Man it's so frustrating.

Even with the E3 Flasher you will need a service mode jig, if you have a dongle, just search or ask for help, i have ps3break and e3card reader, didnt find nothing for ps3break, but im sure they exist, you just need to search.
there is nothing bad before tryng with the dongle you have, since you will need it anyway.
Besides, even with a E3 Flasher and fix the Flash, that simply is good as it is right now, you will need to do this procedure.

@tul, i take the liberty of improving you're tutorial, can you check? I will try this when my E3 card reader arrives

How to unbrick from a DEX to CEX conversion

    When it happens?
When doing a DEX to CEX conversion, when you're in 3.55 DEX firmware after flashing the CEX EID0.NORBIN in Multiman CEX, you shutdown the ps3 and the PS3 won't boot anymore.
This problem is related to CEX CFW syscon hashes. Follow this tutorial if you want to prevent the brick from happen

    Brick sign
On boot, the ps3 console, after 5 "double beeps" very fast and turn off after 3 seconds - no video output
    See an example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1OEDFOKu_Q

    Preparation
    - USB Dongle with the payload to go to factory mode (ex: E3 Card Reader)
    - USB Pen formated as FAT32 (help if it have led status to check if its working and ps3 is doing his stuff)
    - 3.55 CEX Firmware PUP with prepatched lv1 (no syscon hash checks) (i used rogero v3.4 cex cfw)

    Notes:
    - Use always the right USB port (next to BD/power button/eject button) for the USB Dongle and the USB PEN
    - You will not have video output until step 10

    On the computer
    1. Format USB PEN and put lv2diag.self file 1 (http://www.ps3devwiki.com/wiki/Downg...her#PUP_to_use), the one that is green, also put PS3UPDAT.PUP in the root of the PEN (the 2 files must be in the root of the USB PEN)

    On the PS3
    2. Switch off ps3 from power cord
    3. Put the USB Dongle with service mode payload in the right usb port
    4. Put power cord in the console
    5. Press power button followed quickly with eject button, the console should boot, and then reboot. (if the beeps continue it's normal)
    6. Remove service dongle
    7. Put the USB Pen with the 2 files inside in the right usb port
    8. Power on the PS3. If all went well you shall see the ps3 reading stuff in the usb pen, and the hard drive of ps3 working, wait for the console to power off.
    9. Remove the USB PEN (you will have an UPDATER_LOG.TXT in the Pen with the details)
    10. Power on the PS3
    11. At this point you can check if the console boot up and its inside factory mode (red square box in the bottom left of the screen)
    12. Power off the PS3

    On the computer
    13. All you need now is to get out of Factory Mode, so put lv2diag.self file 2 in a FAT32 blank USB Pen

    On the PS3
    14. Put the USB Pen in the right port with the file already on it
    15. Power on (the console will power off automatically)
    16. Power again and should be ok
