OK I have got a CECHA12 (NAND Hong Kong Version 8E that I wanted to convert to 0x86) had a shit of a time using the CD2 exercise kept on coming up invalid flash after like 50 dumps no go with CD2 exe from mm so I used CEX2DEX exe to convert to DEX loaded the flash through multiman left it there dumped the flash again threw it into the CD2 exe and bang it worked. So now I have converted this to 0x86 and it shows up as 0x86 tried a PS2 PAL Disc still says wrong region. Tried remarrying the drive and it still says wrong region. Any clues on this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
c2d refused your flash PROBABLY because you didn't use mM to dump it (and probably it is byte-swapped).
If you want to try PAL PS2 then try to change the region to 85(EUR) not 86(KOREA).

sorry put wrong number I did change it to 0x89 not 0x86 which is Australia/New Zealand PAL and it comes up in IDPS as 0x89 and I did use multiman to dump it. The original IDPS strangely was 8E but the e was lower case originally was this why it didn't recognise it? Any ideas on why it won't play PAL/NZ PS2?? Just keeps on saying wrong region. Thanks.
Tried changing the registry in the etc folder by copying the registry from my other (cechco2 nand pal) and still get the message
(This software cannot be started due to region restrictions.) did however change the circle button as enter back to x
just found a old dvd as well region 4 pal does not play (This disc cannot be played. The region code is not correct.)
A little "trusted/well known" bird had gave me a hint about upcoming tool to dump EID root key from GameOS supporting 3.55 CFW.
So no need to install Linux/AsbestOS again, or do this hard work long steps again
Wait for great release sooner
It's in beta test/code clean up phase now
As i hinted before flatZ had released his great tool that dump eEID Root Key from GameOS so no need to install Linux/AsbestOS any more again.
What do you do after you convert NAND as I have done that ,does it have to be named something else to flash because it only goes to blank screen for a second or two.
If you dump your NAND with mM it will be saved on your USB HDD (/dev_usb000) as 20120807.......NANDBIN. You'll have to 'convert it' and then rename to ***.EID0.NANDBIN and then double click on it in mmOS.
